I was born with white hair. It turned light brown but by the time I was thirty it was back to white. I've tried several items to color my hair, over the years, not wanting white hair. Most were messy, most didn't work very well, and so I decided I would have white hair. But, I have a 10 year old daughter. Shopping with her people would say, "are you shopping with your grandfather today" ? So I thought I would try again with this shampoo reducing grey; I've never seen a shampoo style before. This works, and I am so pleased with it. I followed the instructions and used it four nights in a row, in the shower. I have short hair so it doesn't take a lot to shampoo into my hair. I immediately wash my hands after putting it into my hair, and finish washing, watching the clock. The first night I didn't notice anything. The second night I thought I could see a little color. The third night I was sure I could see a very light brown. The forth night my hair was very light brown, just the way I wanted it. It was not messy to use. The instructions say to dry with an older towel, which I did the first night. But nothing came off onto the towel, so I just dry with my regular towel now. I do rinse very well, again, in the shower. It would be difficult to rinse that well in a bath tub. The top of my head is a little darker than the sides, probably from the way I apply it. This makes it look very natural in that every hair is not the exact same color. I'm very pleased with this product. It is easy to use, it doesn't get all over everything (like some things I have tried) and the price is reasonable. My plan is to use it once a week, to keep the roots from coming in white. I will adjust my usage as needed. I wrote this review to help you see that this product is different, easy to use, and might be what you have been looking for, as it was with me. I didn't have any chemical reaction to this product, but be sure to do the test the product recommends.

I knew that since my hair had turned white (pretty much by the time I was 40), this would be kind of "hit or miss" regarding the resulting color. After four uses (keeping it on for at least 60 seconds), I've noticed a natural-looking color change. However, since my hair is white, the color from a distance seems to be more of a smoky gray instead of a brown tone. All-in-all, I like the hint of color. Friends and family members have been candid by telling me that a little color keeps me from looking tired. And yes - I have tried permanent color that is more in alignment with my hair color before it turned white, reddish brown - but because my hair is thinning, the permanent color produced a "halo" effect, especially when the roots grew in white. Also, I have sensitive skin and scalp, but have had no problem with this formula. So, although I like the product, for those with solid white or gray hair, the resulting color might be darker than a lighter or medium brown.

This is easy to use and it works. I’ve been using it for years. Wash your hair first with regular shampoo and rinse. Then apply this and count to 60, like ‘60 seconds’. The longer it stays on your hair, the darker it gets. I use light brown (dirty blonde) since it’s less drastic of color change from my gray & white. If you try to go darker, you’ll see the roots grow in just a few days. The light color change is much less noticeable.

I can say with no hesitation that this product works fantastic for reducing grey. I was really surprised at how effective it was as well as easy to use. I've seen some people say that it makes a mess, but that was not my experience at all. I simply made sure to ensure the shower was rinsed well after each use and never had an issue. I also used a black towel for drying my hair after use of the shampoo to avoid my lighter color towels from getting stained.As well as it worked, it came with some fairly harsh side effects for me. After a couple of weeks of use, I began to have a bit of scalp itching and flaking. I decided to use an additional shampoo product that was supposed to help with that issue, but it had no effect. After another couple of weeks, the scalp issues had progressed to the point that I had to stop using the product entirely.While effective at reducing grey, it's not without potential consequences. There are some fairly harsh chemicals used in this product that some (like myself) may have a reaction to, so keep this in mind if you decide to try the product.

Great product. But I do leave on longer than instructions indicate. At beginning of shower, wearing gloves, I apply to wet hair being careful not to get in eyes. I then leave on hair and wait until end of shower before rinsing off. Per instructions, once desired color is reached, don't use with every shower, but often enough to get some color on new growth.

I use this stuff regularly. I went to my mom's house. She took one look at me and said, "shouldn't there be a little more gray up there? Well, I don't like the gray so much. When I get a haircut, more of the gray shows, so I use this shampoo.Be careful fellas, it can temporarily stain the shower.
