Worth every cent!

I wasn’t sure about this palette but it has been on my wish list for a very long time. I decided to give it a go and am thankful that I did. The packaging is absolutely stunning and reminds me of Pat McGrath’s palettes in its luxury feel/ experience. The pan sizes are pretty standard. The palette does have some weight to it adding to that luxurious feel. The colors were all pigmented and VERY bendable. It is important to note that there are no “true” mattes in this palette. What I mean by this is that all shades do have some sort of sparkle. I knew this when I made my purchase so that’s not a problem for me. In fact what drew my to this palette was the fact that it is very unique. The shade ranges are very versatile. I do have a darker skin tone and have had no trouble getting them to appear. They are very true to color as they are in the palette. I am VERY impressed with this palette and happy I purchased it. Can’t wait for what’s next from this Brand! Thank you Miss Fame Beauty!

Quality of Eyeshadows Aren’t there For Such a High Priced Palette

This comes with an outer plastic sleeve, instead of an outer box. The back of the plastic sleeve has ingredients on it (see photos). The back of the actual palette says it is made in Italy. It has a cruelty free logo (PETA logo). The palette feels very luxury! It has a good weight to it. It has magnetic closure. The top has a nice sized mirror. Each half, the top half and the bottom half, each have nice thickness and weight to them. The packaging looks and feels really nice. The pan sizes are good sizes. There’s 10 shades. There are NO true mattes, so be aware of that! I feel like a quick look at the product photos show that, but it might not be as obvious to some. Also, the title of the product page says, “Miss Fame Under My Skin Eyeshadow Palette - Pigmented Glitter, Matte & Metallic Highlighter Eye Makeup.” The title saying “...Pigmented Glitter, Matte & Metallic...” could throw some people off and make them think there’s mattes in the palette. But, the product info bullet points does state that the eyeshadows range from “glittered mattes to metallics.” So, I hope people will see that and know there’s no true mattes, but I wanted to say it anyways! The product info says the eyeshadows range from “glittered mattes to metallics. Our matte eyeshadows are folded with excessive amounts of glitter and compliment our light-emanating metallic shades, for provocative pops of color and high-frequency shine.” Mattes with glitter in them kind of annoy me...I just wish a company would pick a lane - matte, shimmer, metallic...not try to mix them. I feel like that because, usually with glittered mattes, you can apply it as a matte and when you blend the glitter pieces usually get blended out (though, that can often mean glitter particles scattered on your face) or you can use it as a shimmer, pack it on dry or wet it to keep that glittery look. Personally, since the glitter pieces tend of fall out when blending (onto your face), I’d rather just have true mattes. But, I guess I can see why a company does it....I guess it gives more versatility to the palette since a lot of times you can use them as mattes by blending them to get the glitter out or pack them on wet or dry to keep the glitter. From what I could tell, 4 are definitely glittery mattes - “Norgasm,” Mauvementum,” “Taupetation,” and “Skintimacy.” The shade “Auragasm” I wouldn’t call a glittery matte or a metallic. To me, it’s like a topper shade. It is pretty soft. When I dipped my finger in it to get a swatch, it was pretty crumbly (in my swatch photo you can tell how textured it looks) and dry feeling. It’s really sheer, but pretty. Then, the other 5 shades I would say are metallics, but again, to me, I wouldn’t really call them metallics. To me, a metallic has that wet, metallic look. A shimmer has a sheen to it, but isn’t wet looking. These I would call more shimmers. But, wetting them definitely gives them the metallic look. But, if I’m spending this much on a palette, I want my metallics to have that wet, metallic look without having to wet them. Even when I went to swatch them, they definitely didn’t feel as dry as the glittery mattes, but they didn’t have that creamy feeling most really good metallics have. They felt a little dry for metallics. For the swatches, I did finger swatches on my clean forearm (no primer, lotion, etc.). For the glittery mattes, I had to do 2-3 swipes. For the “metallics” I did 1 swipe. For the “Auragasm” shade that seems more of a topper to me, I did 1 swipe but had to try and smooth it out onto my arm to get it to spread evenly. One thing that might put people off with this palette is the shade names - Like one is called “Asstral Play” but the S’s are backwards. One is called “Or(an)gy.” There’s also ones called “Norgasm” and “Auragasm.” So, it just depends on your opinion of it, whether or not it bothers you. But, I wanted to mention it.The quality of the eyeshadows are okay. I definitely don’t think they’re at the high price point of this palette. They feel really dry. Even on the eyes, I had to build up the glittery mattes. When I blend them out, the glitter does fall away (onto my face). But, I find them to look kind of hard to work with and a little patchy. The “metallics” don’t have that wet, metallic look that I prefer in my metallic formulas. They just had a little sheen to them. The color that is my favorite is “Asstral Play.” It has a darker base with bright purple in it. It’s very pretty. None of the shades are unique. Most are colors I have in my collection already. To me, “Asstral Play” is probably the most unique out of them, but even it isn’t really that unique. But, there’s so many eyeshadow palettes nowadays that it’s pretty hard to do unique shades. So I don’t hold that against a palette.Overall, this just isn’t for me. I don’t reach for it much. Usually, with glittery matte shades, I can still make them work when I just use them as mattes and blend out the glitter particles. But, I feel like these ones are hard to work with. Since they aren’t anything that unique, I don’t see the point of having to deal with them. The “metallics” aren’t the kind of metallic formula I prefer. They’re just too dry feeling for me and only have a little sheen. I don’t like the shade “Auragasm” at all. It’s way too flakey. The packaging is gorgeous and definitely in line with the higher price point. But, the quality of the eyeshadows, which is the most important part, aren’t anywhere close to where they need to be at this price point. The packaging is 5 stars, but the quality of the eyeshadows is only 2 stars. So, I can’t recommend this palette.

Very Powdery, Lots Of Fall Out, But Pretty Colors

I kind of have a love / hate relationship with this palette. When I first opened the palette, I thought that the packaging was stunning, and that the colors were beautiful. The color names, ehh, I think they could have been better. On first use, I found that the colors when picked up with a shadow brush, they are very glittery, and super powdery. If you directly put it on, you get a ton of fall out, but the glitter and the color go on. But if you are like me, and tap the end of your brush off before applying, almost all of the glitter falls off, and you are just left with the color. After going through and trying all of the colors, I almost wish that they would have left out the glitter and just done a shimmer shadow. My palette after the first use was so messy and color everywhere. Not a fan of the powdery formula. The colors do blend nicely, but cleaning up is a must.I think this palette is alright. I have my loves, and my dislikes. I do use it, and do love the colors. But the crazy powdery fall out does annoy me.

Fun glitter eye shadows

The Miss Fame Under My Skin Eyeshadow Palette - Pigmented Glitter, Matte & Metallic Highlighter Eye Makeup | Perfect for Women, Men, Makeup Artists & Drag Enthusiasts has ten eye shadows for $49. These are larger pans than many palettes. This is a very well-made palette. It's heavy, with a large mirror. I did have one shadow break in transit, but I was able to re-press it.I don't mind that all of the shadows are glitter shades. I think it is fun. I'm a little iffy on the color story. It is mostly cool (which works for me), with a mix of bold colors and neutrals. I just don't think Or(an)gy worked well. I thought it might set off the blues, but blending the edge with Cosmic Crush turned into a muddy mess. Most of the other colors blend well.I didn't think the fallout was too bad for a glitter palette. Auragasm is mostly a pretty glitter with very little actual shadow. I haven't had an issue with the shadows staying in place, even without primer.I do like this palette, but I'm not sure that I'd pay $50 for it, because I don't love it.
