Weaver Leather Original Adjustable Nylon Horse Halter

This is the perfect size. Construction is first class, as is hardware. The green color is wonderful. My only negative comment is that it’s pretty heavy..... much heavier than my original. And even more so when it’s outside hanging on the gate post and there’s precipitation.

The halter fits my 1 1/2 year old paint colt well. It's heavy made and durable.

I used it for a 500# miniature horse. It fit him well and looked great on him. The one I bought for a Mini-donkey was a different color and a little too small to be comfortable but went on him. I ordered him another that was bigger.

Was having trouble finding a halter for my 19hh Belgian locally. This shipped/arrived super quickly, fits him perfectly, is durable, and the color looks great on him! Have never had a problem with any Weaver product I’ve gotten - always great quality.

I bought one of these 3 years ago and it stood up well, after the first year the lime green color was faded but it still washed up and held up nicely with good stitching and hardware. After about 1.5 years the chin strap clip got bent and didn't close until I hammered it back into place more. It was iffy and had to get whacked several times for over a year and a half but it wasn't until a few days ago that it finally broke during a touch up hammering. Amazon's price currently beat the online horse supply stores I had previously purchased from and I went with graphite and french blue colors and they are really nice.My horse is pasture boarded so he doesn't wear a halter unless I'm doing something with him, but during the warmer months I honestly just hang his halter and lead on a tree branch or hook on the fence out in the sun/rain/elements. 3 years of abuse and the only wear was color fade and a clip broken from being constantly beaten is a good longevity in my book. If he had to wear a halter full time I would have gotten a single-layer nylon adjustable halter with just rings instead of these very heavy D-shaped rings, just so he'd have something lighter.My horse is a 16h 1000-1100 quarter horse with a proportional but more warmblood-looking than QH-looking head and the large horse size fits perfectly on the smaller holes for the behind the ears strap and the middle size holes for the around the nose strap.

Really study, held up when training to hard tie. Color is just what I wanted, and it’s true to size. The material is good quality. I couldn’t be happier with it.

Weaver is my go to for halters, always has been. Durable for young horses, beautiful colors if you want that, and proper sizing.
