We live in a Cape Cod home with a small galley kitchen. It had a portable dishwasher when we moved in and after 19 years it gave out. Did some research, found this one. Easy to set up, and start using. The input/output hose does not retract, just hangs on the back of the unit. Our old one did retract. No big deal. When the unit cycles, it beeps 6 times, great! Upon detaching the hose from faucet, you have to "wiggle" it a few times in the sink to get excess water out. So far, so good.ThanksMatt Campbell

I cut the hose/faucet adapter off the ends of the hoses and hooked it straight to the garbage disposal and under sink plumbing. Works fine. Using Cascade gel and rinse and it works better than the powder. Has two racks, and it is small. I could not find anything bigger that is a stand alone dishwasher. This is a stand alone dishwasher and does not have to be in a cabinet. Really washes dishes well. Overall very happy with the purchase.

This dishwasher is nice and does a good job at cleaning dishes. It is almost silent when running.. My only real complaint, which it lost a star for, is the way the hose doesn't retract down into the back or drain well. You need to have a bucket handy to drain the water into or it will go all over the floor, it is very annoying! Then it all just hangs on the back kind of messily which prevents it from fitting against the wall nicely went not in use. I could not recommend this dishwasher to anyone due to this and I would not purchase this type again myself.

Does a great job

The media could not be loaded. To be perfectly honest, we only purchase this dishwasher because my husband saw that this brand SPT was rated in the top 10. I really wanted to purchase the same one that we had for eight years. We would’ve kept that, but the door was cracked on it. The only thing this one has going for it in our opinion is it seems to be built more sturdy as far as on the inside walls and door. We don’t like that the cord and the hose do not retract. We have had trouble with the soap either not dissolving at all or partially dissolving. Please don’t say that our water is not hot enough, because it is plenty hot and we let it run before we hook the hose up. The slots for the plates on the bottom, I feel are too close together. It doesn’t hold as many dishes, pots and pans as our previous dishwasher. The top shelf rack does not seem to be designed for our bowls, cups and glasses. It just seems to be such an inconvenience to be used three times a week like we do.

It is so quiet When doing the first load I had to mute the t v to be sure the dishwasher was running.
