Healthy Treats
I did not think they would eat this as it smelled to high heaven and the pieces were large for small pups. I cut them up in smaller chunks and they love them. I made them a pup charcuterie bowl this morning of the Rabbit, Pork, CHicken, Salmon, Pumpkin and Sweet Potato. Just a few of each to see how they would go and their preferences. Thought the bowl would last all day ..... Wrong! 20 minutes tops! Least favorite was the Pumpkin. But alone, the pumpkin they also love. So, any of these are great treats for training (not a meal). It is nice to find healthy treats with no junk in them to entice the pets. So, I do recommend as Salmon has all the good stuff for coat, etc. I have found if they are a bit stinky, keep the bag open for a few hours to overnight and that changes. A good item to give periodically. I am serving them to a Maltese, a Yorkie Poo, 2 yorkie pups, and a Chihuahua. Not one refusal.

Treats that have taken the Number One Spot
My German Shepherd will eat anything HOWEVER, these are incredible. He loves these, will stop whatever he's doing if he hears the bag being opened from another room. This is helpful because the treats are light as air, can be broken into smaller pieces, are great in your pocket, & Rafa will do just about anything requested if he knows of their proximity. Because they're not crumbly, crumby, or sticky, they are not a pocket problem. The best part is that I know that these treats are healthy as Raf is a on a raw meat diet with supplements, veg, & fruit. He eats loads of carrots but will turn away from everything to get to these. Apparent when I just pick up that particular bag. Great product!!!

My dog loves this Salmon treat
The bag smells like Salmon. My loves them! They seem healthy so I am glad. I know it’s expensive, but I would rather her have healthier treats than ones with bad ingredients. Be aware that some pieces have a tough skin left on them, which my small dog doesn’t like, so I remove the tough side from the treat, then she can eat them. Most pieces are chewable.

The taste my "chow hound" Boston Terrier loves.
Nothing but freeze dried salmon here. Great for dogs on limited diets due to food sensitivity issues.

Keep shopping or DIY
These pieces of dried salmon are so tough and hard with sharp edges, I would never choke a dog with them. What isn't like shoe leather turns to dust that sticks to everything. Since my dog, who loves salmon everything, raised his lip when offered to him and walked away. So, since I paid so much for this treat, I pulverized it in my Ninja to mix with his food. Some pieces were so tough they would not break down. I put some powder in his favorite food and he would not have that either. What a waste.I know all dogs are different, like people, but I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a high quality product your dog can enjoy and eat safely. But I will say this: the bag is really nice.

Finally: A full, UNcrushed bag of CHUNKS of wild-caught freeze-dried salmon!
FINALLY!! Finally I found a bag of freeze-dried wild caught Alaskan Salmon treats for my kitty that did not contain more than 50 percent .... scraps! I mean chunks of skin, bone, pieces of ROT, connective tissue ... you name it. I mean, really, some pieces will have some Brown spots; some will be scarce meat-wise. It is unavoidable, I believe, after trying many brands. But overall, this company delivers a full bags of nice orange salmon chunks. I think that the skin still attached retains that color. I do believe that the skin, then, retains nutrients. I am half way thru the bag and I still am pulling out quality pieces of salmon. I like to cut the skin off (a little tough for my kitty to swallow) and choose the best pieces to hydrate in some warm water. He loves them. (IF the water is too hot, I discovered it makes the salmon a little bit "rubbery" in texture.) This company lives up to its claims, and the price is hard on me, but so far, after receiving so many disappointing brands of freeze-dried salmon that did not meet my expectations, the money is worth it. As far as my kitty's health is concerned, I "pay now or pay later." Meaning, investing in good food for him now, might just save me a ton in vet $bills, and most importantly, will save him from illness and suffering.M6 only concern was the odor I picked up when I opened the package. There was less of a fishy smell, and perhaps, more of a ... packaging odor? Anyone? And AMAZON!!! PLEASE SHIP FREEZE-DRIED PRODUCTS LIKE THESE IN BOXES WITH APPROPRIATE INSULATION! Over the years so many of my kitty's freeze-dried treats and meals arrive PULVERIZED! Bags are mostly full of crushed pieces that crumbled into powder. I am worried whenever I receive one of these fragile products in nothing but a padded ENVELOPE - and sometimes an envelope with zero padding!! Does this problem begin with the manufacturer's shipping procedures or with Amazon's distribution choices? Or both? Would be awesome if this quality-control issue was remedied. Refunds would decrease too, on the manufacturer and distributors' side of the equation. A little more care in shipping translates to a "WIN-WIN for EVERYONE!
