Works beautifully
The media could not be loaded. I made an indoor water feature, powered by 5 small 6v solar cells in parallel, generating up to 165mA in bright sunshine. I'm using a 5v 7805 voltage regulator but found the pump would not start. I put a 5.6nF capacitor across the pump and now all works well in the sunshine. I don't yet know enough about electricityb to understand why the capacitor was needed!

Cheap rubbish, completely unsuitable for advertised purpose, does not perform anywhere near spec
1st the product specification for this has obvious errors. At the top of the page the working life is quoted as "The use of working life of around 200 hours ". But lower in the full details it is "Continuous working life of 800 hours". So which is it? 200 hrs or 800?2nd - see picture of pipe supplied. This is all kinked and pinched as it has been poorly wound prior to packaging. So yes you get some free pipe but its pretty much ruined already.3rd: Lift: the lift is quoted as "Maximum lift: 40-110cm". Which is odd. why would it need a minimum figure unless it is because inconsistencies in the manufacture mean that some have a lift of only 40cm and others 1.1m??? Well, I Measured 1.1m of pipe and tested all 4 'pumps' and marked the max height reached by each one. From my testing only ONE of the four pumps managed 1.1m and then only just. (For the test these were powered off a Thandar Bench PSU capable of supplying 5V at up to 7A)During testing all four pumps drew around 30mA no more. The Spec says "Working current: 130-220mA"One of the 4 pumps was very noisy and clearly has a unbalanced impeller and is useless for any quiet operation ie as advertised. it would drive the fish nuts if i put that vibrating thing in my fish tank!!The short cable adds inconvenience meaning that for practically any use i can think of, the lead needs extending with a submersible waterproof junction. These are only of any use as i have plans other than the advertised function for them.

Good value
Was bought as I needed one pump to replace a superficially similar looking defective one in a small desktop decorative water fountain, four for the price I've seen being charged elsewhere for one was a no-brainer, as they say.The pumps were all tested on receipt and worked flawlessly, fountain successfully repaired and given back to it's now happy owner and I've got three spares for any future repairs...or a spot of experimentation.

The intake is at the lowest part of.the hull
I installed.2 in my.boat. both off 1 set of 2x3volt button fob.batteries. Amazing power for such small pumps Fitted nicely next.to water jet propulsion system...
