Purchased this book for my son. He read it in one day and was eager to share tidbits of what he learned about the atheletes’ lives. Highly recommended for those who love sports.

Great for nephew's Christmas

I bought this book for our grandsons, ages 11, 8 and 6. To say that they love it would be an understatement. It is written in a style and a voice that communicates directly with them, and the examples are timely and inspiring. The 11 year old and the 8 year old take turns reading a chapter to each other and the 6 year old enjoys listening to the stories. It is a great birthday present and every school library should have a copy.

I purchased this for my 11 year old grandson. He plays soccer, is on a traveling team and loves it. I thought the book would be inspiring, but was a little concerned it might be a little too "old" for him. He loved it and talked about it and the stories often with his family. His parents thanked me for getting the book for him! He is very smart for his age, but I would recommend this book for any 11 yr old.

Christmas present for my 10.5 year old. He is not a lover of books per se, but has throughly enjoy this book. Many stories of athletes that he is familiar with.

Its sad to read about the struggles that these players went through in their early years to become the players they are today.

Bought this for my sports crazy grandson for Christmas but Ive read most of the short stories. Very interesting and truly inspirational. Real life always beats fiction. I’m sure he’ll love it too.
