Q: Has anyone used this tablet with Zbrush? If so, did it work well?

I am a 3D Character Artist and I primarily use ZBrush as my main 3D application. There are a few things that are good with Zbrush and the Q11K . -Firstly the pen pressure is very noticeable. The strokes are buttery smooth and you'll find a wider range of pressure both on the light and heavy side. This is one of my favorite things about the Q11K. Also the active area is a good compromise between a large and medium tablet. There is a good amount of area to work with and I work on a 27" monitor so the tablet has a little less acceleration. If you use buttons on tablets instead of a keyboard, you'll find they work good and are programmable to your liking. The surface of the Q11K has a nice tooth to it comparable to Wacom Intuous. I only had a few issues while using ZBrush, one in particular was actually a big problem as I sculpt between 8-12 hours per day. Sometimes when using hot keys like "S" for brush size the Q11k would not disengage as you use the slider. I found that I had to bring the pen up higher off the tablet for it to "let go". If not-it would snap the size to 1. This actually happened for several hot key sliders in Zbrush. My other issue is a personal preference- the pen although nice ,is just far to skinny for me. Sculpting in Zbrush all day, I need just a bit more width at the top. The pen would slip and sometimes using the two pen buttons would move around in my hand. All in all if you want a good tablet to work in ZBrush, I will say that this tablet is a good alternative and works fairly well.

Q: Does the pen require batterys to work?

Q: Can this be used with Lightroom? The app doesn't seem to recognize the pen

Yes, it can, which could used at mac and windous system. Please make sure that you have download the driver correctly. If it doesn't work still, please contact us for further assistance.

Q: Does this only except touch from the pen, or your fingers as well? If it allows for finger touch, does it have palm rejection? thank you

This model only accepts touches from the pen. It does have 8 hotkeys on the left side you can configure (I'm pretty sure it also allows for flipping the tablet to make those on the right side to support left handed drawing, but I'm not 100% on that). You can also lock the hotkeys so that you don't accidentally press them if you don't want to use them at all. Hope this helps.
