So helpful in healing my tattoos
I love this unscented version of the balm. It comes in a small amount which is perfect for using during the healing process and then disposing afterwards. Just hold it on your skin for a couple seconds so it warms up and then it glides on easily. A nice healthy alternative to petroleum products. The mad rabbit website says don’t use for the first 24-48 hours after your new tattoo for safety reasons, so I follow that advice. it helps keep the tattoo just moisturized enough without overdoing it once the skin is ready for it.

Not impressed
Followed instructions to a T warmed stick up on skin used it on clean skin in circular motions my tattoo that's 4 years old still looks four years old. I don't see a difference at all. I've heard such good things about mad rabbit, and this is my first product, and I'm bummed. This stuff is not cheap for the quantity this will only last someone will multiple tattoos a couple goes. The stick never really did warm up hard to apply but I rubbed it in with my hands after I was done with the stick. I am very very wary about trying another mad rabbit product now and I hate it. My Tattoo artist asked me to try it and let him know if it's any good and I almost don't want to say. Not mentioning names but I purchased a cheaper tattoo renewing kit and saw a bigger difference in my newer tattoos and older I purchased this to renew my portrait of my German shepherd I lost years ago thinking only the best for him.

The balm is good, but not for the price.
This product does really well with moisturizing. You don't have to use much of it and it goes a long ways, but for a 15 dollar item, I expected more. I got a section of my sleeve done on my forearm, and I used this product about 2-3 times a day for 3 days with very little applied, and it's already gone. I started digging into the bottom of the stick trying to savor my 15 bucks worth. Kind of a rip off for the price, even though the product is nice. At this point, I'd rather go back to old school methods than pay an arm and a leg for something I can't even use longer than 3 days. Disappointed in this product considering my artist recommended it. 3/5 at best.

Brightens
It does brighten the tattoos. It's kind of has a lotion/oil feeling ag first but once its rubbed in it doesn't feel like it. I hate lotion but like this for brightening up my tattoos!

Just get the tin
The main advantage of this is that its compact. It fits better into a small purse and is more convenient. It's unscented, so that it can be used for new tattoos...Packaging says to throw away after healing process, I assume because of scabby blood filth.....But the stick feels like it has more balm than a new tattoo would use...I feel like they should have either made a dedicated new tattoo stick, or put a nice scent in it and sold it as the compact easy use version of the balm that it is more suited too.Update after my first tube:Not at all worth it. I did not feel comfortable using something that thick on a new tattoo preferring to use the lotion and the gel which works great. I used it like I would use the balm while it functions fine it ran out in no time. And on top of that there was like a half inch of the stuff below the rim of the max expansion of the base that I could only get out with a knife and there were ridges in it that even made that hard. Meanwhile I am still rolling on my first tin of the balm.Just get the tinIt lasts longer its not that much bigger and your not payong for a lipstick feature that holds so little of the stuff and likely wastes a good bit of that if you dont scrape it out.A good idea but poorly executed.
