First impressions? This thing feels pretty good. I mean, it doesn't feel cheap just from holding it and looking at it. I kind of expected your typical cheap, crusty looking China stuff but the plastic feels well made. The dock itself is actually hefty. It probably had a metal weight in it to give it that heft but I just have no complaints. It works just as it should with my Windows 7 system. Although when I first inserted an SSD to test it the drive didn't show up. Had to turn the power on the dock off and back on. I suspect that if you turn the power button off, insert your drive and turn it on it will work fine that way. For the price, this has the look and feel of something that cost at least twice as much. The performance is adequate for my purposes. I haven't ran any benchmarks on it. Just from using it as I normally do use external storage. If it lasts a few years it was definitely worth the price. Will update if I have issues.

This unit worked perfectly for me. I needed a device that I could connect internal drives into so I can pull data off of them. Works great for 3.5 & 2.5 inch drives.It even have USB ports and micro chips slots on the front.

My old Thermaltake eSATA dock died recently and, since I now have USB 3.0, decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did! it's MUCH faster than eSata and the dock is otherwise at least as well built. Since it also sports a USB 3.0 hub and memory card slots, this is quite a bargain at $30.I'm very happy with this purchase.

Just plug it in and insert the hard drive. It wiil show up as a remote drive on your computer.

I love the concept of this product. The ability to switch SSD’s quickly and Windows recognizing it quickly. The only downside is speed. It is NOTICEABLY SLOWER than if you were to use one of those encasing adapters. I still love the product but I wouldn’t transfer video footage on it.

I've had something like this before in the past but it got damaged by water. Everything plugged in nice and instantly was recognized by windows so I couldn't ask for more. As far as speeds as advertised was correct.

I have a 10tb Seagate Ironwolf drive and a 6tb Western Digital Red drive. Both worked with the dock. If anything comes up I will update this review.

product will still read sd cards and the usb ports still work....but it no longer spins up any hard drive that is dropped into it(I do power it off before dropping in a hard drive). It did work flawlessly for for about a year, then when you need it the most it stops functioning

Mir ist eine SATA Festplatte im Computer eingegangen. Firmen sprachen von Festplattenrettung und nannten Preise zwischen 700 und 1000 Euro. Im Computer wurde diese Festplatte manchmal erkannt aber immer mit Fehlermeldung. Mit diesem Adapter konnte ich mir meine Daten langsam zurück holen. Es dauerte ca 3-4 Wochen bis ich wirklich alle Daten wieder hatte und die Festplatte ist immer wieder abgestürzt aber am Ende hatte ich alle Daten wieder. Für mich hat sich der Kauf sehr gelohnt.

Pessimo, provato con tre dischi, uno non lo ha letto, gli altri due, dopo la prima volta non li ha più letti e per poterli utilizzare li ho dovuti formattare direttamente dal controller, lo ho restituito.
