Exceptional tool and value.
I would give this tool 6x stars if I could. It performs its function flawlessly every time.Design and materials are excellent. Feels nice in the hand also.PSA: the function of the little velcro hooks on the bottom is for dressing the cable by using it as a comb to unravel twisted copper braid if applicable to your cable/termination type.

Quality tool
Great product, Nice quality, Easy to use. The only problem its not the best for cat 6 cable, the front black piece labelled 59 and 6. Which I take to be the catacgory cable it can strip deos work for cat 6 goes straight through the pairs inside. But using the hight adjustable blade it deos work perfect for cat 6. (haven't tried any other cable)

Good quality cable cutter/trimmer.
Knipex put a lot of thought into these cutters, from the easily replaceable blades to the simple but versatile design. If you use coax compression plugs these will cut and trim the cable as needed and precisely. The only thing I can't quite figure out is the small velcro (hooks) pad (see photo). I'm undecided between it being used to remove any debris from the cable after a cut, or to secure the tool somewhere. I'm leaning towards the former...

The tool creates a neat termination
Although for a good many years I’ve been able to cut around the outer cable insulation effectively without damaging the outer screen of a coax or data cable with a snap knife, this tool does produce a neat cut around the outer sheath and inner core speedily and predictably so its an advantage to have one.

Works very well.
Great tool, works very well but minus a star because the adjustment screw for the blade depth on top is plastic and has a lot of slop. You'd think a quality manufacturer like Knipex would have used a metal stud and thumbscrew for this adjustment mechanism.
