Works great, and in a lower sugar recipe!
I was pretty concerned after reading all the 1 star reviews- they are certainly far fewer than the 5’s but still, it’s good to know what wasn’t liked.Well 5 outa 5 stars for me! Ordered it the day before needed and got it ! Among the 5 star reviews a helpful person suggested 6 tbspn to 1 box of sure jel - that was extremely useful since the directions on this product recommended way more sugar than I prefer.I took a recipe I like and used the 6-1 ratio and I have perfect jam! Can’t wait to try it on my raspberries. Thanks Medley Hills for a low cost alternative.

Excellent product
I have used suregel for the past 50 years but it got a bit pricey so I tried this. I am so glad I did. This pectin is 10 times better as well as being cheaper. I use a Ball jelly maker and this works amazingly well with it. I make a lot of flower and herb jellies that have zero pectin of their own. They set up perfect with this.

Works great, 6TBSP = 1 box of Sure-Jell, way less expensive than box pectin
This works just as well as Sure-Jell. 6 TBSP is equivalent to 1 box of Sure-Jell. I used the instructions for plum jam that I’ve always used and it came out great. For anyone thinking this has too much sugar, it is identical to Sure-Jell. You don’t see the sugar on the nutritional value for Sure-Jell because it’s for a 1/4 tsp serving size vs. 1 TBSP serving nutritional info shown for this (that is twelve 1/4 tsp servings). Medley Hills farm fruit pectin is less than 1/4 of the cost of the boxed pectin equivalent. I would have spent $85 at my local store for the same amount that is in this package of Medley Hills Farm pectin for $17. If you want an economically sound equal replacement for box pectin, try this! I’ve made jam for many years and I highly recommend this.

Takes more to set jelly than listed.
This takes 2-3x the amount listed to set. Still a good product for the money but be aware.

Excellent pectin & price
Purchased to make strawberry jam. Gave the jam a good texture. No extra flavor or stiff jello consistency. Also considerably cheaper the the box name brands.

Good
Great product. Worth price. Writing on container hard to read too small. Take pic with phone and enlarge.

Bad batch of pectin
What an unexpected calamity yourpectin put forth for me !!!The amount of pectin in all otherbatches was minimal to get the appropriate viscosity. The batch previous to this took an entire container to get the right consistancy. This time I poured the entire container, just like last time and it turned out like a solid block of concrete.NOW... it took alot of time andmaterials to get it to the rightconsistancy.I have made and sold many varieties of Jams as Jam Man for12 years and this has never happened. A check for $25.00would be beneficial for redeemingmy expenses, unless you creditmy Amazon account.Brian O'NeilAmazon account Pamela O'Neil
