Q: Can this be used for dryer vent installation through vinyl siding?

Q: What’s the nest way to install?

Fits right over the siding , if you have vinyl siding you just need to drill a hole large enough to run your wire through. Then mount your fixture directly to the surface block. The block is configured to mount directly to the exterior of the siding.

Q: what is the dimensions on the surface as opposed to the base, if that makes sense? Need to mount a garden hose holder that is 6 inches wide.

The surface is approximately 7” x 7”. The 6” garden hose base should fit just fine!

Q: Will this work to mount a flag pole?

It isn't necessarily designed for that but I did it on my house and it has worked fine. It is tightened down much more though.
