Real wax!
Very pleased with this purchase. I placed one of the attractive in my bathroom to accommodate my 'midnight calls'...don't like swiching on the main light...too bright - wakes up my zombie-like brain which makes it harder to fall back to sleep. The gentle glow from the candle is just right. Just a touch on the (conveniently placed) tiny remote control and...bingo!
