You HAVE to Break These In
If you do not have patience and maybe a little show stretch do not buy. These need to be broken in. Once they are broken in you will clear,y see what all they hype is about but you have to work for it. Took me about 1 week of daily office wear to start noticing they were breaking in. By week two I could tell that I had made a good purchase. I walk approximately 1-2 miles a day in these between coming to the office and going around the grounds. The souls are great and give good cushioning. Also good heel cushioning offered by the soles while driving as I am also in traffic for up to 2 hrs a day round trip.

Perfect
I love these shoes, I bought them for work. These shoes will last a very long time. The break in was easy as I followed the YouTube video of the ice foot in the freezer Dr Martens video. A strong buy.

I am not a happy customer
I have bought Doc Martin's shoes for many many years. And they have lost a good customer. I was trying to by a pair of black slip on loafers to replace my 3rd pair. But apparently they don't make them any more. So I tried these. They are possibly the worst shoes I've ever bought. My toes are so tight in there and the inside bottom has no arch and is hard and lumpy and about the same as standing on rocks. They are so low in the back, and when I walk fast, I work about them coming off. Let me know if you bring back the Penny loafers. But until then, you have lost a long time customer.

Unequal cut, L fooot the leather cut visibly
the color and the toes, the support of the this pair didn't disappoint, and I was pleased as I opened the box.Shortly after I realized the difference in the leather in the upper part of the L foot. I tried it with a very soft ankle sssock, it appeared tight. Though the R foot appeared comfortable enough which after braking in I could wear cotton socks. Then I wondered which vendors buy mismatch or shoes with defect and sell them on the amazon? the quality was good only the L foot was. I was disappointed, I hope the next order doesn't disappoint. for work and walking I have relied on this brand for years, I also wear Frye"s Lug Oxford it provides comfort but doesn't provide shock absorbing measure walking on the ashfault, it's good for indoor and slow walking. thank you for for the refund and other services. please resolve this problem. it's not fair to rate low, so many aspects met the criteria only one the L foot shoe was smaller thean the R foot. for quality 5 star is just.

These shoes are awesome. I had a pair I wore for 12 months while I was walking every day, and they held up incredibly well. It has been a few years since I had my last pair, and knew they would be very comfortable. The shoes get five stars. However, I can't speak quite so well for the company that sold them to me. After my purchase, I was given a date range for when they would be delivered. Unfortunately, the shipment was very late, and arrived about a week after they said they would be delivered.

My favorite shoes to wear to work!
I absolutely love these shoes however, they are a beast to break in! The run small so size up if you are a half size. After a year I notice a slight tear at the top of the heal. Going to sell my size 8 and get a 9. I wear a 42 and this 41 fits but is a little too snug to be comfortable all day.

Basically Indestructible
Just bought these, still breaking them in, and they are fantastically uncomfortable. The leather is hard and unforgiving, and the toe box a little tight. If you're buying a pair of Docs, you should know what you're getting into. That said, we are not unhappy with them. We've installed some Dr. Scholl's insoles, and are wearing them just on weekends until they soften up a little. It's worth it, because we are five years into wearing the previous pair of Docs as daily at-work several-miles-a-day shoes, and they are still holding up like champs. Have never had another brand of shoes last anything like that long-- you could probably replace the insoles every year and wear them forever. We are only maneuvering to replace them because the soles have worn pretty smooth, and workplace safety does require some functional tread. We expect they'll still be good for regular non-work purposes for years to come. The only indication of their age is the scuff marks and a bit of slump in the leather around the toe and heel, but they still polish up reasonably well.

Beautiful! Classy and Minimalistic
I love these shoes! They're great! Authentic, fitted, high quality, and non slip. I needed some plain, clean, walkable Oxfords for work and they are exactly that. The soles are sturdy and a bit heavy, which I like, and the leather is polished and smooth. My feet are rather small (kids' 3-4, women's 5 in fancy shoes) and I got the UK 3. There is a small amount of room in the toes and back that work out well for me since I use thick socks. Lovely. :)
