We needed some shelves to organize a hall closet and considered plastic shelving but that stuff looks cheep, sure it would do the job but looking good was important also. The shelving we got is made of white painted metal with wood shelves that work very well and look good also! They were easy to assemble, very sturdy, hold several hundred pounds per shelf. The shelf kit includes a rubber mallet and gloves which is a really nice touch!

This ended up being very flimsy. I do not trust this to hold 300 lbs per shelf.

The shelf is good once it's assembled, it can hold a lot of weight but heavier things should be on the bottom and not the top. It will take a while to assemble, it does include gloves and a mallet with the kit and recommends 2 people. It says that it will take 30 minutes, but only if you have way better luck than me. With a helper or took about 2.5 hours, partly due to the unclear instructions and having to redo some parts. It's not obvious how the metal pieces should face from the instructions, it shows the longer horizontal pieces facing one way in one picture and a different way in the next. You want the flat metal strip on the inside facing up. You may have to beat it into place, like I did for nearly every piece. The instructions are good about showing that the corner posts need to be positioned with the larger opening up top. It has joining the slender cross bar AFTER the longer bars are in place, but if yours are like mine, you need to do that before you beat the second set into place or it won't fit. The boards don't touch the bar, it's purely for stability and I guess helping with tension and weight distribution. It seems like later versions of their shelves are made better, which is why I'm guessing this one is on sale.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered two shelves (2 separate packages) One of the packages was missing all of the support rods. I emailed the seller and they responded in a timely manner. They shipped the missing parts immediately and provided a tracking number and even followed up to make sure that I received them and make sure I was satisfied with the product.I researched the shelves I needed because I really wanted something easy to assemble, sturdy, and was an overall quality product.I'm really happy with this item because they fit the aesthetic industrial vibe of my home.Ordering more, one for each bedroom!
