Perfect for Ka-Bar TDI
It is the correct angle for my Ka-Bar TDI. I have carried my TDI daily for 13 years now and had several chips and nicks in the blade and have removed them with this sharpener.

Just what I wanted
Gives a great edge with little effort. Changing the degree of the edge is slowly taking place, but the difference is noticeable right away. Should let anyone using the knife after using this sharpener, that the edge is professionally sharp and not to take any chances with the blade. I'll have this one in the kitchen for years.

I got this for my Victorinox Chef's knife to its thinner edge and it's working great. I've since sharpened the angle on my other knives to match it, taking my time and using light pressure. Stays put, stable, and effective. Just make sure you remember to use very little pressure and it'll do the job just fine.

Damaged a few of my knives.
Bought this based on the reviews. The carbide blade left deep groves in the edge with had to be ground out. The fine sharpening wheel did not sharpen. Disappointing, since it seemed like a nice tool for when you just want a quick sharpen. Any system with rods works much better.

Kitchen knife touch up device
Very nice way to hone or lightly sharpen 15 degree angle blades for someone without perfect angle estimation, this is a great tool. Well made, held up for about 6 months. I use a Chef's Choice to do more intense work, but this keeps that in the cabinet for longer periods of time, for sure.

A single use item should do what it is named for doing.
Bottom line, it does not make your knives sharper. It just does not work well at all. Do not bother spending money on this item. If you do, you will be disappointed, as I am.
