Top quality hat
This hat is very sturdy and well made! The information with it states 50+ uv protection.Hat has ventilation strips, lovely thick material, and should fit any size head, adjustments for under chin and top of hat..Instructions are hand wash.My partner goes sea fishing (boat not shore) all season, and is really pleased with this hat! In fact, he said it was...too good to wear! He is going to wear it, it's perfect!Very pleased with purchase, would certainly recommend!UPDATE - Partner has worn this when sea fishing, very hot here in Cornwall at the moment and out at sea it is even more important to keep covered up! With the under the chin tie the hat stayed in place all day and partner is very pleased, even though the other fishermen said he looked like a lamp shade! Water off a ducks back! He would rather look like a lamp shade than get skin cancer! Best sea fishing hat I have bought so far!

Wide, wide brim.
Youthful vanity and Cornish sunshine led to a lot of problems a lifetime later. I am still living under the Cornish sun, sitting on clifftops, painting out of doors, and this hat was a revelation. I'm confident in its power to protect.Oh, yes,; its also very cheap. I'll probably get another "for best" as this gets the inevitable paint and garden stains.

protection from the sun
Arrived in 3 days. My requirement is for a hat which will protect me from the sun whilst being reasonably stylish. This hat is does all that in my opinion. I got my face badly burned on a day out recently; this hat would have kept me safe. Don't forget you still need a good pair of sunglasses.

and good for keeping the rain out of your eyes in ...
Not the most attractive design, but it does the job well. Brim wide enough to keep sun off your whole face and neck, and good for keeping the rain out of your eyes in bad weather. I took this on a two-week trek in the Hebrides recently, and I especially appreciated the chin strap during windy, rainy weather.

Graet sun hat for fishing
Just tried this out and its great for a fishing sun shade. Stops me having to use my brolly to protect my face.

great quality hat and looks very good toocomes in a great size and was able to fit me wellgood coverage so the sun was not too hot on me and it has holes on the side for ventilationoverall really happy

Fitted a big head and kept sun off.
Saved me from being roasted on a brutal day in July 18 digging post holes for bench into chalk. Kept sun off well and reasonably cool.Folds up nicely, so can be fitted into bag.Definitely value for money.
