Great for accent lights!
I have a few strands of these light. I use them along the top of my bookcase and it looks wonderful. I also have them behind my record player which works great with the sound reactive feature.I will say the reactive sound isn't what I thought it would be. You have to select the type of music, like rock, pop, country, jazz, ect. Which doesn't work the best for my nu-metal music, but it's still cool! The brightness is adjustable which makes it nice to adjust to your space. The quality is pretty good, although I don't believe there is a way to connect strands as of this time.Installation was easy, it's just a peel and stick.

Not sure why I got excited about a light, but I did and I'm glad I bought this.
I'm not sure what the purpose of this light is, but it's very cool and I like it. The app works perfectly and is super easy to use.

Close to perfect as possible
It's O-riginal! Fantastic light strip. Super easy to use, especially with the app. Haven't had a bad product from Olight yet, and don't expect to.

Must watch ads to use daily
Everytime you want to turn your Olight LED products on or off you have to go through their app and it has ads. I have to watch an ad to turn my lights off to go to bed. Also the custom colors don’t work how they should but that’s secondary, I don’t want to watch an ad to use a product I have already purchased in my home. I just want to use it. I need to set up 5 more strips but I’m switching brands as I find myself not turning the lights on or off bc I don’t want to waste the extra 20 seconds in what should have taken 1 second to turn on.

LED strip is nice, but the App doesn't work properly.
The button on the controller only selects Red, Green, or Blue, and brightness level of the selected color. This is kind of boring. So I tried to download the App. It would not install onto any of my Apple devices, and several of my Android ones.I was finally able to get it to install on a Samsung tablet that was a few years old.The App forces you to create an account to use it, so I created an account. After creating the account, I was not able to get the App to pair with the LED strip's controller.I had placed the strip into pairing mode as per the instructions. It would see the strip, but just kept telling me that it could not pair. After a few hours of frustration, I killed the App and deleted it.Looking at the strip, it uses the common 3 wire style seen on generic addressable LED strips, so I hooked it to an Arduino and used FastLED to setup a program to run the lights. The color code of the wires in the cable to the strip from the controller are:Red = +5V DCWhite = Common 0VGreen = the control signal.Driving it with the Arduino, I was able to create and select multiple color patterns and effects.Including a full spectrum rainbow, a running dot that runs from one end to the other and back, and other effects. The LED strip itself is nice, the controller and App are not so nice.
