TR Industrial IS-500 15 Amp 42-Pound Demolition Jack Hammer with Anti-Vibration Design

----- Update, the TR Jack Hammer broke at 6 hours of use. ----- The TR Jack hammer seems well built but I don't know if it's worth $500. I have another cheaper jack hammer which is XtremepowerUS 2200Watt Heavy Duty Electric Demolition Jack hammer for $140 and it's easier to maneuver in tight positions because it's lighter and 6" shorter than the TR. It also has a trigger that allows you to stop the jack hammer very quickly, the TR hammer doesn't it's just an on/off switch which is cumbersome. The weight of the TR hammer is heavier but seems to have very similar breaking power to the Xtremepower hammer. The TR hammer seems like it is better built but has quite a few flaws for the price. I have been using the Xtremepower hammer for 50+ hours and it is still working good, haven't even changed the oil. I accepted the Xtremepower as a throw away due to it's price but it's exceeded my expectations.

I build decks and fences and this is worked great for digging in hard ground. Had to turn it off and back on a couple times to engage the bit but for the price I’m not complaining.

Didn’t take out of the box right away, when I did, the switch didn’t work and unfortunately it is past the return window.

Durable and powerful for the price. I took down an entire concrete guest house without many issues. Only issues I had is it doesn’t always engage so you need to reposition it quite often. Also the plastic house holding the power cord broke in about 5 minutes but it was only cosmetic. I definitely recommend it for personal use, even large jobs. I have about 150 hours on it and still running strong.

Was cautiously optimistic when I ordered this thing - $500 is a lot, right? Now that it has arrived and I've given it its first assignment (granite) I'm happy to report that this thing so far has exceeded my expectations. It's HEAVY, I'll tell ya that! But I broke up some large granite rocks in the yard and after maybe 30 minutes I checked the bit - no damage! The unit was warm but not hot... it's just pretty solid. Overall glad I took the chance.

This is a serious machine which is well built and does the job spectacularly. Case is excellent as well. I've experienced one issue.The flat bit does not want to vibrate in the machine. The pointed bit works fine. Anyone else have this issue?

Tiene un excelente diseño, pero no trabaja constante .se pega y solo vibra. Lo use por 10 minutos, y no valía la pena seguir haciendo fuerza levantandolo y dejándolo caer para que la punta empezará de nuevo a martillar. Parece que es un problema que a todos los que lo an utilizado les a sucedido. No lo recomiendo.

Good hammer. Other vendor attachments do not fit, company should provide a link or which it recommends
