Wow, we LOVE our Bee Jeweled coop scoop. I actually tried other (cheaper) chicken scoopers from Amazon first and had to return them all for quality issues. I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger on this one, it checks all the boxes for me. First of all, it just makes spot cleaning SO easy. I can spot clean an entire 60ft run in under 5 minutes with this scooper which is insane. Secondly, I have bare DIRT in my run and it still works amazing!!! I was worried because dirt is a much harder surface and not listed as a bedding this scooper works with. Well I can say it works pretty great. I was also worried about the mixed reviews on size/length of the scooper and I think it’s all perfect sizing (I’m 5’5). The size allows me to get in difficult spots to clean, it’s lightweight, and the rake is super helpful and convenient. I will probably buy another soon because my kids like to help scoop with me.If I could give any feedback to the seller it would be to eventually offer a metal scoop for a bigger variety of bedding/surfaces, and more color options :) I’m thinking of spray painting mine black to blend in with the coop area.

Love this lil sucker… what was missing in my chicken loving life. Gets all the corners, my kids can use it with ease and I dont stress they didnt get everything.

It probably works for other people but not well for me ....I'm 3 weeks into using it. Let me explain.1. I use premium chicken sand (brand) on my poop shelves and there's not enough holes on this thing to sift it well. On the floor I have construction sand and it's slightly better there, so probably better for those who have thinner sand2. My poop shelf is 36 inches high and I'm 5'5", probably would be easier to use a smaller hand scoop than this long thing. Ergonomically, I'm having a difficult time using this.3. For the run, the width isn't large enough for our 10x20 run. It takes forever to scoop. I'm going to buy a bigger metal one for the chicken run.Overall, I need to find another solution to scoop my poop shelves. Had hopes for this, but will keep searching. Maybe it's your answer!

Best scoop for cleaning our coop. We have sand and it sifts out all poop easily. Love that the rake allows me to easily move sand around and it is easy to store!

EDIT: Following my previous review of this product, even though I personally have some problems with the scoop does not mean everyone will. The seller contacted me and was very helpful in giving me tips, tricks and being very honest with me regarding their product. I hope the tips they so generously offered to me are what I needed to know to be able to use this product to the best of my ability. They treated me with respect and kindness. This type of behavior is what I would hope other companies would follow as well.The product was smaller than expected. Made of plastic instead of metal. It is made at an angle which makes it difficult to use in a coop that is lifted off the ground. And the pole is too short. Not what I expected and will have to purchase something else that works better for my coop. This scoop was not worth the money.

I originally posted a review stating how I felt the handle was too short, and due to that reason, didn't feel the product was worth the cost. After Alysha from Bee Jeweled Coop reached out to ask for my honest feedback, we went back and forth regarding the pros and cons of the design (shorter vs. longer handle) and I have since changed my mind entirely. Alysha is so devoted to creating a quality product and showed me that she's willing to stand behind it at all costs by sending me a longer handle to try and it seriously made all the difference! The longer handle is in the testing phase and is not currently offered on Amazon, but I can tell you from experience that Alysha's product and business are worth getting behind and supporting!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I needed something with small holes to sift the sand out and keep the chicken poop in and this definitely delivers.
