I live in New England, so cold winters. First summer was unimpressive growth. After winter, they struggled to wake up in the spring. But both trees finally woke up in late June. But the first year's growth seemed to die. BUT,, it might be something I sprayed on it to keep the animals away because it did the same to another bush I had too. New branches grew from the ground. One is over 3 feet and the other is about 2 since late June. So I guess in colder climates you have to be patient. We'll see if the new growth survives the winter. And I WON'T spray anything on it this time.Update: Didn't survive year two. New growth started all over again. What grew last year died again. I think something is eating it just under the surface.

The trees arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. The instructions were simple, specific and clear.They started growing immediately after planting and show no signs of transplant shock. Great people to buy from.

Disappointed. First of all, I read the enclosed instructions and followed them. Second, I appreciate the gift of the second tree. However, trees traveling bare root in the back of a shipping truck don't work, especially during the summer. My trees were all dried out when they came, brittle. I planted them according to the instructions. The trees only received morning sun. First day, not only did they lose leaves, they lost branches. I moved them into pots/buckets. I hope they make it. See picture. I ordered another tree from a different vendor. This tree came to me well-packaged, POTTED, and ready to go in the ground. I planted this baby in full sun. First day, there was some leaf wilting. 48 hours later, it looks like the tree has been well-established and is thriving. See picture. Leaves did not lose any color and are soft, supple. The other tree cost me about $5 extra and shipping ... worth every penny. I'm going to order another tree from them to replace the one from the other vendor.

They sent me 2 carefully packaged, healthy, pretty little trees at the end of April. I live in Zone 10 & we get afternoon thundershowers for about 6-8 months so I put them in a pot so I could have more control. They are SO happy!!! They've grown & are now blooming.....just awesome!!! I will be planting them in the ground when they're even larger & more beautiful come Spring. I've already ordered some light blue miniatures & a dwarf Purple Velvet directly from the company. Can't wait to see them !!!

The tree we received was not even a tree. It was extremely small with 3 mini branches! This squalid plant was not worth $40.00. I just bought a real crape myrtle for $40.00 which is 4 feet tall and it has many flowers. Would not buy from this nursery again.

I wanted a carolina red, the price was right and The Crepe Myrtle Company had the tree I wanted Carolina Red.First surprise: the shipment arrived one week early. Very well boxed.Second surprise: not one but two trees! Sent a free tree...thank you so much!!Third surprise: the trees when unpackaged look like dead twigs with a shockingly tiny root ball and roots wrapped in plastic.HOWEVER... there is this great yellow instruction sheet I recommend reading, this explains everything about the crepe myrtle.Trees were planted in containers following yellow sheet instructions exactly to include placement in full sun and peat/soil mixture.Day 4, both trees are sprouting new leaves and appear quite healthy.EXCELLENT buying experience

I was surprised that it only grew about 3-4 inches in 20 months. Then died despite us having the mildest winter so far 😢
