is this a left handed guitar ?
We are trying to figure out how to secure the strap at the top end of the guitar. My son had one and the nodule was at base of neck. not on this one.
Does this come with nylon strings?
does it play well? will it fall apart after a little while?

Awesome guitar!!

I bought this as something I could fool around with on vacation and didn’t want to fly with my Martin Guitar. I left it with family where I went. I was blown away how great it sounded!! My sons who also play guitar were amazed. It happens to be the same demention as my Martin streetmaster. Which made it perfect! It was so good when I got home I ordered another just to have as couch guitar to compliment Martin. As a bonus being that bottom nut was straight I was able to resting it since I’m a lefty.

Surprised by the great quality for the price

We were pleasantly surprised. This is actually a quality guitar. We purchased this 4 yrs ago for our son and it has held up very well and though he has advanced to better quality guitars, this is still his personal favorite. The tuner is not exactly precise. The overall set looks great and feels good to handle and play. It’s a pretty fun kit for a beginner.

Great value for the money

40 + years ago I had a nice Martin acoustic guitar. Fiddled around with it a little bit but never got really serious. Long story short I ended up selling it and didn't think much about guitar at all for decades. (I was a keyboard guy.)Fast forward to today (and another long story short) I found myself noodling around with an electric guitar (unplugged) while hanging out on the couch watching TV. I like to practice my chords and scales and so forth while doing it. My brother suggested that an acoustic would be much more suitable for that purpose. I've forgotten pretty much everything I once knew, so I am pretty much truly a beginner again lol.So, the search began... And I stumbled across this guitar. I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money. (If you haven't priced any instruments lately, it can be breathtaking how expensive they've gotten.) Again, I just wanted something that I could practice with very informally. And I didn't want something big like a dreadnought because it would be too bulky for how I wanted to use it. This one looked great but it is definitely a basic, bare-bones guitar. Very suitable for my purposes. But my particular one had a problem: The action wasn't right. Strings were way too close to the frets and so they buzzed at times. Extremely annoying.I did everything I could to try to ameliorate the situation but to no avail. Ended up taking it over to a local music store where it didn't cost me much to have it fixed properly. Very reasonable.I then contacted the manufacturer for a refund for that repair. After providing them with a receipt, they were happy to oblige and reimburse me for it.This little Best Choice guitar is fine for people like me or beginners of any flavor. As others have noted the strings don't like to stay in tune very well, but once they are appropriately stretched over time that issue vastly improves. (Strings are also cheap. So that's another easy fix. I'm going to keep using mine until they give up the ghost and then I'll change them out.) Initially, I had to bring them up over two octaves to proper pitch. (That should be done Very slowly to avoid potential string breakage. Patience is definitely a virtue here. You definitely want to make sure your kid, or anyone else, doesn't crank away at the tuners to try to quickly get them in pitch.)It's not a Martin by any stretch. But for what it is, it sounds and works fine. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one if need be. The tuner that came with it works fairly well too. No complaints. Again, great value for the money.

It's exactly as described

I was nervous after purchasing this and seeing if this was going to blow up in my face or not. I haven't played guitar since I was 8 years old and I didn't want to go in and spend a crazy amount on something that could and more than likely will just end up catching dust. This guitar comes with nylon strings -- many reviews says otherwise but I can assure you they come with nylon strings -- they're not amazing strings. My 5th string came with a little but of rust about 4 inches up from the bridge. The bridge is not reinforced with anything besides glue and hope. If you apply to much tension you will rip the bridge right off this guitar. Be smart and a use a tuner — there’s room for user error in this and if you want to just go super tight then you’re going to have a bad time I heard cracks and remembers it’s a $50 guitar package not just guitar. The extra strings did come individually wrapped and labeled in a nice plastic pouch. I kept the original string for 48 hours to allow them to stretch and see how they play. They're very tough on your fingers and I can make playing cumbersome. I visited a local music shop and purchased some nylon high tension chords with beads on the end and they've worked well on this instrument; not a lot of strain on the neck or body of this instrument ; the bridge hasn’t been ripped off and it keeps a tune much longer than the original strings. With the original guitar I was able to keep a tune for 1.5 hours and would have to retune after putting the guitar down and doing something else. With the new chords I have been able to be in tune for 48 hours and have no problem in keeping the guitar in tune. This guitar comes with no scratch plate, it’s a small feature that I know look back and wish I knew I wanted before purchasing- you can purchase separately but why not just buy something complete? If you are expecting to hit and knock your guitar THIS IS NOT the guitar for you. This guitar is a beginner guitar it’s meant to learn structure, rhythm and how to work with a guitar. It’s not meant to be hammered hard or pushed to a limit like a Yamaha or Gibson might have. Again I wouldn’t worry about bumping this guitar against the wall or dropping it off the bed or sofa; I would worry about it being punched and hit.Tuning the guitar with its original strings wasn’t as difficult as many people described it; I used an tuning app on my phone and was able to have all strings in tune in 3 minutes with that app.The tuner provided comes with a battery but I actually broke the backing to it as soon as I put the battery in so I guess that tells you how much that worked out for me.The travel bag is a nice place to keep all your things; your probably wouldn’t want this bag to travel in an airport; or a road trip. This is probably a stay in the room and keep everything consolidated type of thing. The capo has found home on the head of my guitar covering the BCP logo. It works well and sits snuggly atop of the frets. No complaints on the springs or the material that touches the chords. The picks are nice and I noticed a difference in thickness across some of the picks , silver being thinnest and blue being thickest.Would I recommend this purchase for someone just learning guitar or nervous about spending more money on a mod-level guitar that might take a longer time to learn how to play. This guitar is fun- it gives great sound, it’s whole and rich.Biggest take away- buy extra strings- buy a tuner winder - download a free tuner app on a local device - be prepared to buy another guitar in 2-4 months just because you’ll have so much fun playing this one you’ll out grow it and need to get an electric. BCP offers an electric acoustic I wish I checked that one out.
