We had two of these bathroom drains in our master bath sinks. Unfortunately, our cleaning service got a little too aggressive and pulled the top off of one...I think they thought it was the type with a removable cleaning basket. It isn't. :-)Installing of the replacement was very straightforward. I unscrewed the nut on the bottom (you need large channel lock pliers), lifted the broken one out, dropped the new one in place (using a bead of plumbers putty around both the top and bottom), and tightened the nut to hold it back in place. It's working perfectly...no leaks, drips, or other plumbing disasters.I've told the guys that the next time that they want to clean it, the mushroom top unscrews.

Update 6-25-23: Well got another one but it doesn't fit. The top part is 1.75 in and won't go through older 1.5 in sink opening. Had to go with the type with basket contrary to what I said earlier. Too bad.Do not get the kind with a basket!!! The stopper attaches to the basket unsecured and the stopper would not work half of the time or worse!!! This one the stopper screw hole is securely built inside the drain pipe so the stopper always works. This is my experience from several installs using this and other styles. This unit is high quality and install was easy. The large popup stopper is visually pleasing and doesn't look old school. The only negative is that the somehow hard water deposit forms calcium deposit circles on two other installs. So I just throw them in a bucket of white vinegar along with shower heads, faucet aerators, etc. and soak them overnight. Presto good as new :)

Great quality! Waited d to review after we had them for a number of months. These are in our primary bathroom and get lots of daily use. They work great and so much nicer than the originals that had the stem that you pull up on!

Needed a replacement and decided to give this a try and I’m glad I did, it was very easy to install and has worked perfectly fine. If you’re thinking about buying this just do it, it’s well worth the cost.

It originally seemed bigger than I pictured but is actually the same diameter as the old one with the center stopper. I discovered that the color, brushed gold, is actually brushed brass but apparently my Price-Pfister faucet is brushed gold so it matched perfectly. It leaves some water after draining since the sink flange is just a tad bit higher than the sink bottom. It was challenging to install because I have a pedestal sink. Would have been nice if the locking nut was configured for hand tightening like some of the others on Amazon. However I chose this one because it did not have the basket. It is a sink in a guest bathroom and no one washes their hair in it. Will see how long it lasts. I also like the idea that the stopper can be easily removed if needing to clean hard water deposits.UPDATE: Use plumbers putty instead of the gasket in the sink part. It will allow the drain to be more flush with the sink: no water remaining after draining. Use the putty in the lower part. I filled the gasket with putty and now it has a perfect seal. Just using the casket has a slight drip I could not get rid of. It is not the fault of the drain but rather the minute unevenness of the sink at that point.

We had two bathrooms remodeled a couple of years ago and installed 3 Kohler faucet/drain kits. After less than a year, the original pop-up drains were discolored and corroded. They looked terrible and cleaning didn't help. I tried the Yodel stoppers and after a year, they look pretty good. Yes, they do have some calcium buildup, but cleaning with a good cleaner makes them look really good.

the one I got has a defective pop up stopper; it doesn't stay down. I didn't do my project right away so it is outside the return window.
