This is replacement for an earlier model of the same which I had for about 15 years.The 15 year old model still heats up well but the curlers were a different design and the plastic edges were starting to crumble and break off. Because the model is so old replacement curlers are no longer available.I love the new model! The case is redesigned and looks good and is a similar size so it fits in the space for them. The new model actually curls my hair better than the old one. I have a lot of long hair but it's fine and somewhat wavy and the curlers work very well on my hair. The heat indicator dot on one roller tells me when they are ready. The redesigned clips work well and better than the old. I wish they would have provided one extra clip for each size though.I'm very happy with these hot rollers and wish I hadn't waited so long to get them.

I needed to curl my hair, but had trouble holding the curling iron with health issues. When my curling iron finally died, I decided to go back to hot rollers. ( I use to use hot rollers all the time). This set was perfect. They heat up quickly. The color coded clips made using the 3 sizes easier. The notches on top of the curlers also help the clean up process go quickly! The curls did last a long time as well! I would buy this again, and recommend this to a friend.

I was using wax filled hot rollers, the one with the pins, on my long hair for many years, then stopped in favor or using curling irons, blow dryers and flat irons. I ended up donating my 4 old hot roller sets to charity because I wasn't using them. However, no styling tool ever gave me curls like the old wax filled hot roller sets I gave away. So I decided to add hot rollers to my current styling tools. Before purchasing the Remington Ionic Conditioning Hair Setter recently, I did purchase other brands of hot roller sets, each claiming to be better and were much more expensive. Each used the plastic spring clips that didn’t hold the curler in place. I returned them all. In addition to the plastic spring clips that don’t hold the roller in place, the other brands didn't get hot enough, or remain hot enough, long enough. Curls are created as the hair cools. Not when the hair is warm. The "trick" with hot rollers is that they must get hot enough (not too hot as to burn the hair or scalp) and remain hot enough, long enough for the hair to cool on the roller. What I also like about hot rollers - as compared to other styling tools -- is the hands free aspect. You set your hair then do other things like put on your make up, get dressed, as your hair cools on the roller. Again, curls are formed as the hair cools. This Remington Ionic Conditioning Hair Setter does get hotter than the other more expensive brands, and remains hot longer the other more expensive brands I’ve tried. The only down side w/ the Remington is the same down side with every other brand of hot roller: Not enough of one size roller. Long hair needs more than 20 rollers and larger rollers than short and medium length hair. The 4 smaller rollers in this, and any set, are for short hair. The medium rollers are for medium length hair. These 2 sizes are ineffective on long hair. This means I have to buy more than one Remington set to get the 20+ larger rollers my long hair needs. However a plus with Remington Ionic Conditioning Hair Setter is that all size rollers fit the same size “heat peg”. If I can get 16 of the largest sized rollers separate, I figured a way that this one hair setter can accommodate all 16. Also Remington set needs to provide more pins. Otherwise I have to purchase more pins separately.

Cute product! Love the color and love the way it is smaller and fits in my bathroom better than most hot roller sets. They heat up quickly and leave very nice curls

The media could not be loaded. What I like about this product? Yes, the rollers do achieve a good curl. They heat well; about 10-20 minutes for full heat. The case is convenient for travel. I liked that the pamphlet provided tips on how to roll for a specific style.I did Amazon pickup and the process to pickup was flawless. Just wish there was a closer pickup location to my residence.What I don't like about this product? It is not feasible for women with thick, coarse hair; especially black women. I have thick, coarse hair so to achieve a good silky curl, I had to straighten my hair (includes blow drying AND using my Chi iron) then roll. That is a lot of heat for one setting. Also, with my hair being so thick, I had to roll in sections because there are not enough rollers to roll my entire head in one sitting. Once the rollers cooled, I removed them & put them back to heat again (another 10-20 minutes) before I could start the next section. This is time consuming to achieve curls. It would be better if there was a larger unit with more rollers to accommodate those with thick, long hair. This way we could roll our entire head in one sitting.The instructions say NOTHING about how to clip the color coded wire roller pins. *TIP: DO NOT attach the wire roller pin with the longer side facing your scalp because the heat from the roller heats the wire pin and WILL burn your scalp. Yep, I burned my scalp!! Thanks for including clear instructions; NOT.Also, it states the roller has cool touch ends; not true. You do feel the heat on the ends so you better be quick about rolling & pinning.Would I buy again or recommend? Only if there was a larger unit with more rollers. For all I had to do to achieve a curl, I was better off using flex rods and sitting under a dryer. This product is more for needing a quick refresh, IMO.

This is a great hot roller set! It’s been years since I’ve used hot rollers but wanted to give them another try as I’ve been wanting to add a new look to my hair as I’ve been growing out some layers. These are so easy to use and I’ve always preferred them over curling irons and blowouts. They heat up in about ten minutes, put them in and you can finish your makeup as they are in your hair. Usually cooled off in about twenty to twenty-five minutes and your curls are done! Love these again!
