Q: Can this blanket be programmed to come on automatically every night?

Yes, If your blanket has the Choice Touch Controller then the blanket can be programmed to come on each night by using the preheat function. You have to first set the clock (there is a switch on the underside of the control, move it to Time and set the clock using the + and - buttons), then move the switch to preheat (again the switch is on the bottom of the control and pick a preheat time using the + and - buttons). After these are both set put the switch on the bottom of the controller back in the center position. Turn the controller on and use the mode button until Preheat flashes then the + button until it shows both Preheat and the time. That should set it. The preheat will come on at the time you set and will preheat for 30 minutes then go to the original control setting. Hope this helps.

Q: Can a blind person use this blanket? I.e., are the controls mechanical or display based? Can alternative controllers be used?

The functions of the blanket are on the control unit. Directions are included with the blanket. You press the buttons for the desired results.As for the ability to use alternate controllers, I don't know. But with other controllers, you probably can't do all that this blanket does, i.e., set it to preheat at a particular time or turn off at a certain time. Just being able to turn it on or off, perhaps you can.

Q: what are the settings for plush e=heated planket ?

Mine is pretty basic, but all I need. Goes up to 10 and heats quick!

Q: My controls cannot preheat or auto off other than 10 hours. Can this be used with a digital timer? ie does On button stay active if timer controlled?

Thank you for your valuable question. You controller is bad, i don't know if you can be able to incorporate the controller with a difference digital timer and make it works, but controller is always on and active regardless the timer is in control or not.
