This may require some intermediate DIY skills
I've had this door lock fitted for a few months now. I decided to wait to review the lock until we had a good use of its features.Firstly, the fitting of the unit can be really simple or really awkward depending on the type of door you have, and the handle you're swapping out. We have a Coldseal uPVC door with multipoint locks and reinforced steel panelling. This lock is similar in design to the original door handle but not similar enough to avoid considerable effort and time to fit.Due to the nature of our specific door, there was some drilling of new holes required to feed the cable for connection to the battery side and and retaining bolts through to the outside unit. Given there is a steel plate for reinforcement of our door that is not designed to be easily drilled, this took some time to ensure the door was not totally ruined whilst penetrating the steel shielding. The manufacturers state in their instruction material that it is not compatible with multipoint locking mechanisms. Well, as it happens I was able to make this work without swapping out the original catch and locking parts. The power cable was a little fiddly to feed through the door and connect but with some patience and perseverance I successfully managed to get everything connected up and working. We have a fully functional multipoint locking door using this lock but you may not be so lucky. As this was not a perfect fit from the original handle, I was left with a 1 inch semicircular hole underneath the handle which needed to be filled. You can get uPVC panel repair kits that are like a putty to use and harden to a solid plastic state. After receiving delivery of the repair kit I was able to sort this out and the door is now gap-free and as secure as it was before fitting.I go through this little story to demonstrate that the replacement process might not be as straight forward as you might think. It all depends on the age and style of your existing door. The best scenario is to fit to a brand new door that has not been cut to suit a previous fitting, but most people I'm sure will be wanting to retrofit. Before you order, be prepared to either undertake some serious DIY or pay a qualified tradesman. The lock itself is great. I have invested in a remote gateway and have full access to lock and unlock the door wherever I am. The internal storage of the unit deals with the registration of up to 200 users (there's only 3 of us) and you can access by either RFID card, fingerprint, numeric code or phone app. No personal biometrics are shared outside of the individual locks internal storage. The phone app is pretty basic but easy enough to use. Generic RFID cards work with this lock so you can produce new "Keys" for around 20p each if you shop around for the correct frequency of card (13.56MHZ cards required). The fingerprint reader is a pain if you have wet hands so it's best to have a card as a backup just in case.I installed Duracell Optimum batteries into the lock and we are currently at 65% battery power after 7 months of general use. You do get 2 rather specific manual keys should the batteries die and there is a micro-USB socket behind the protective plate to power the lock temporarily to gain access (you cannot use this for full-time powering the lock).I'm happy with the lock and it has provided a new level of convenience for us. It is secure and operates similar to hotel room locking mechanisms by mechanically separating the handle from the catch and mortice locking mechanisms. The unit is good quality with solid metal components and has survived recent bad weather. Just make considerations to the installation effort or costs required to avoid disappointment.

Both finger print and number pad need skills to work with
The media could not be loaded. AN UPDATE AFTER MONTHS OF USE:- FINGER PRINT: One should not press fingers all the way down, but slightly place your finger on its surface to unlock. It is better to use middle area of a finger, rather than the finger tip. After months of use, I have got use to it and can unlock with fingers prints most of the time.- NUMBER PAD: Do not do what is demonstrated in their video to bring up its number pad, press on somewhere of the number pad for one or two seconds then it would show up. By the way, it is not mentioned in user's manual how to lock the door if it is set to passage mode, here is the tips: Keep pressing "#" for seconds to lock.I am quite happy with these two locks I have now so that I decided to increase its rating from previous 2 stars to 4 stars.===================================================================================This lock is solid built and fits well easily on my doors. Its design is multi functional for easy access at normal time and in emergency. The finger print is malfunctioned that only 2 or 3 touches out of 10 would succeed. It is annoyed to hear it says "Operation fill (failed)" and 4 to 5 failures would trigger its alarm going off. I have tried to delete and register new finger prints, some time it works straight away, but some time it fails straight away after registration. Most of the time it would fail next day.It would be fine if finger print fails that one can enter pass code to unlock, but it is hard to bring up the number pad, not as easy as it is shown in their demo video. To find out if the one I have had was faulty, I purchased a second one to compare, but they are all the same. (see video). I have contacted their technical support asking if there is a reliable way to activate the number pad so I can enter codes instead in case of failure of finger print, but I have not heard from them after two weeks. Their after sale service is very slow. The only quick response from them is to obtain one's email and phone number for what they called "3 year extension of warranty" with a simple message.

⚠️ READ BEFOR YOU BUY ⚠️
Bought this product after reading many reviews. Overall looks a smart product and good price.* Fitting experienceI'm a novice diyer and have removed locks and door handle before so nothing new should be easy!I read reviews where people have used there existing locks. So went that way first nothing lined up. So went to strip the whole door cassette to add the barrel supplied to learn or was1. Two wide for door2. The lock bolt was also two big for the metal plate cassette that runs the length of the door. After visiting a lock specialist to see if I can get a lock like the one supplied but thinner they advised me the only way to make this fit would be to remove the whole door cassette strip and only use the lock supplied this would mean loosing the upvc door top and bottom bolts.I thought right I will remove and see how secure it is after jigging and using a dremmel to make it fit I then moved onto the door strip on thr frame as that had to be removed as the lock bolt was to big so I removed all that to fit the supplied fixing plate also does fit and would need cutting out!!! At this point I gave up put everything back together and returned the lock as wouldn't be as secure to use as loosing the top and bottom bolts would make it less secure. My advise is check the width of you outter frame.THE ONLY WAY I SEE THIS WORKING IS IF YOUR FITTING A BRAND NEW DOOR AND ARE CUTTING THE WHOLES FOR THE LOCK
