Great Radio and excellent choice for upgrade 2002 Ford Focus!
Bought this radio in April 2023 as a replacement for my 2002 Ford Focus wagon radio. Getting Apple CarPlay is fantastic! Integrating all functions into one screen is awesome. No upgrade required for the 4 way original Ford speaker system since this radio has a small amplifier that is just enough to give those speakers lots of bass and power (not a boom level). It is connected via a USB cable so it charges while providing all of the other functions. Phone is connected via bluetooth, but the microphone is not very good. Everyone complains when I try to talk via the supplied microphone. Repositioned it twice to no avail. That would be my only complaint. My grandkids love that screen is movable and pull it around to them to search Spotify for their songs! There are USB connections for both Apple and Android and my daughter uses Android with no issues! All around, this is a great upgrade for older cars!

Amazing product
The one at Walmart costs $240 without microphone and without backing camera. This one is cheaper and includes microphone and backing camera. I love that the instructions are clear. It also has separate instructions for the backing camera. All cables are labeled accordingly which is superb!!! Very easy to mount. Camera view is not the greatest but it is more than good. Android play and Apple Play worked well as well as Bluetooth. I don't use tuner so skipped it. Works great with my speakers. My prior radio did not stick out of the dashboard so the sun would make it hard to see the GPS. This is the perfect solution for that. I turned the brightness all the way to 10 and can move the screen to the side and no more sun glare. The backing camera option has labeled cables for the braking wire that you need to connect to your car's braking wire. Our car's manual did not specify which cable that was- we didn't care to look for it so we did not set up the braking wire which means that when you go into reverse gear, the camera doesn't automatically pop up, you have to press it on the monitor which is fine for us. We could get a radio person to do it but not an issue at all, we don't mind. Microphone is clear and mountable with double sided tape. All on all, very pleased 😀 will buy again for my second car.

For the money, it is great value.
I have had the unit installed for three months in my first generation sprinter van and I am very happy with it. My touch screen works with Apple car play and I can adjust the map size and type in destinations and I do not need my Glasses to see it. I have used the microphone to make call through Apple car play and swear at Siri :-) as I have had some 'issues' but I think it has more to do with Apple CarPlay and my I phone OS itself than anything to do with the Boss Unit. The sound is good (not excellent -I run the front speakers with the boss unit and have a kenwood powered sub and alpine power amp for the rears. ), from all the sources ( carplay, bluetooth/streaming, USB - thumb drive (reads my FLAC files too ) but the graphic EQ seems to over compensate the frequency loudness and somtimes sounds distorted and I cannot seem to save my settings for it either (I think I need to connect constant power to the unit). The way it reads from the USB drive could be better so it enables the driver to operate the vehicle and still find the artist, album and cut; I made a directory of all the songs I liked called 1AAA and stuck all my songs that I want to hear on a road trip on that. The front end menu item selection is very good however the settings menus are somewhat confusing (e.g. Changing bluetooth sources was a pain the other day and I had to turn one source off for it to goto the other one).

Good radio for the old truck
Installed in my 1991 Ford F350. Perfect fit and adjustability for the awkward space to install a larger touch screen. Straight forward controls. Sound quality is good. Paired with some Rocker Gosgate 6" door speakers, added some high output tweeters to the rear column and a 10" underneath sub that fit perfectly under my bench seat. Now I don't have to hear road noise. Install was easy. Paired with a license plate mount backup camera. Bluetooth works great!

Wanted to love it but doesnt work
The screen took a while to install and looks great, but the screen is always black or completely glitching in apple carplay. screen will go black at the start, or mid drive and then I have no navigation directions to see on the screen and on my phone it still says connected to car play so I cant see any driving directions. Pretty pissed because I paid a mechanic to install this and its day 3 of having it and it hasnt worked properly the entire time. Was sent faulty screen. Would like a returnless refund because it will cost extra to get it removed at the audio shop/mechanics

Serious Upgrade
I installed this head unit in a 2000 Honda CR-V. It replaced the factory single DIN AM/FM CD player. Research indicated that the 9 inch screen was the biggest that would fit- and the reason for that is because the larger 10 inch screen will interfere with the column mounted gear select handle. The unit is somewhat complicated to install because to activate all the features you have to provide signal input from your brake lights to activate the rear view camera and signal input from the parking brake so that the video inputs will work. Other than that, I recommend buying a vehicle specific installation kit with wiring harness and dash trim pieces. I don’t know anyone who would want to splice into the factory wiring, so just buy the kit and save yourself the headache.Once installed, the unit is very intuitive. It is easy to configure, and switching between sources is easy. Apple CarPlay is wonderfully integrated. Reprogramming local radio stations is easy.
