I usually don't write reviews but for this product and company I am doing so because customers that are on the fence making a decision or customers looking for a great product and need to know if your purchase won't be throwing money into the wind, listen now to what I have experienced: The product is great. I use it for big jobs, small jobs, it has conquered every project with perfection. Comes with a variety of tips and can easily change out a custom tip due to it utilizing a common tip standard. The product becoming usuable from room tempature is nearly instant. If your soldering say a subwoofer, I think the most you will wait is 1 minute. The tempature set is very accurate with the ability to manually adjust and calibrate. The blower heating element is no different. Very quick to heat up, can be adjusted and I have used it for several motherboard projects (remember to use quick heat no residue flux) and removing IC's/chips has been a breeze. Probably because I do a lot of repairing and tinkering the product did fail after 3 months.But this is the best part! WEP product support is the best on the planet. I kid you not, same day this company had a replacement part in the mail. They suspected it was the iron itself because everything worked but the iron and to be honest I thought the same. Unfortunately after the replacement part arrived I had to email support back with the update that even with the new iron, the tip wasn't heating. Without hesitation they sent a brand new complete unit which arrived rather quickly, maybe 3 or 4 days. The unit arrived almost completely crushed. I again reached out to the same support agent with the bad news. They overnighted another complete system I opened a day later! Where do you find better product support on this planet? They even let me keep everything extra they sent. So I have a soldering station with only the blower working. I have a crushed soldering station I will soon take apart and salvage for spare parts. A brand new soldering iron with all the tips. A brand new complete Soldering Station with tips, solder, remover etc. I won't need a new soldering iron / station for a very long time.WEP the company and WEP 882D the product earns five stars and potential customers fear not. This is the best value soldering station, period. Prior to this, over several years I have owned two butane soldering irons, two electric stick/wand irons, a soldering gun, and a USB-C soldering pen. Between 6 tools, I still couldn't solder properly.This affordable solder station is a game changer. Very impressive for the price. I use a couple professional models in my shop and on the farm. I have several work stations and needed another for a new shop in my garage. Setups like this were in the hundreds of dollars years ago. Unit comes with hot air, multiple tips, soldier and a tip cleaner too. Very quick delivery. I will buy another as a backup. Accidentally placed heat gun on plastic and in a second it melted. It was my fault but I expected it to hold out at least a little longer other than that it’s good!

It is very quick to heat up, feels nice to the touch and handle. It also comes with pretty much everything you need to get started on your projects. Comes with several points for both the heat pump and the iron. The cables are long enough that they don't get in the way. Once you put the heat pump down, it gradually cools down on its own as a safety measure. Great quality and design for the money.

Only used this a few times, but works great. I'm only a hobbyist so for the price it performs as advertised. Heats up quickly both hot air and iron. Much better than my old 15w iron. Very compact unit, and the added accessories are a nice bonus.

I've had this soldering iron for 3 months now and It's been the best soldering iron I have ever used until about an hour pago!!! So my charger messed up. I took it apart and noticed a component was blown, so I turned on my soldering iron to heat it 0up and replace the component. Then i noticed the air iron on it was turning a hot glowing red color. And before I could turn it off the plastic on it caught fire. And yes, as you can imagine i completely freaked out and started trying to blow it out which was a stupid idea because flaming plastic started dripping everywhere so i started freaking out even more. So by that time my wife woke up to my work table and floor on fire and then me jerking the hole soldering iron device out of the wall and running out of the house with it. Thankfully our house is still standing. And the air iron is still on the porch. Afterwards I cut off the wire to the air iron and properly tapped up the end of the wires so none are touching and the soldering iron itself is still working fine. However the air iron is still sitting on the porch.
