I'm using this to test various methods of communicating between EVSE and a small personal EV employing DC Level 1 charging with an off board charger and on board BMS. Only 2 pins are available through the J1772 connector. Control pilot and Proximity pilot. I'm attempting various standard and nonstandard ways of switching this ethernet layer onto those pins at the appropriate time. I plan to test whether the 100BASE-T1 signal is rubust in close proximity to up to 80A chopped DC charging current.
