Great value for the price.

Great TV for newbie to streaming. We needed a smart TV as we changed to high speed cable. We already have a Visio that is well over15 years or more and works great. It has so many app’s already installed. I was amazed at the free TV available. Use your smart phone for set up for the easiest experience and download the Visio app as you can use your phone as a remote. There was other complaints about it being slow to open apps but it’s like seconds and not minutes. This is our first time so I don’t have any other comparison. The TV self adjusts its picture and the colors are good. I’m going to add a sound bar as we are hard of hearing. It had captions setting. The 40 inch is actually 35 inches wide. It’s 40 inches diagonally . I still have a TV cabinet with a 40 inch opening. It fits good. We have learned to stream with ease using Visio. The phone app has a good help section.

Mostly good as long as you keep your expectations reasonable.

I saw several complaints about the sound quality, and "You'll need a soundbar or some kind of external speaker(s)", but that wasn't the case at all. The sound quality on this TV actually isn't bad at all. That was the only thing holding me back from purchasing it, so I didn't have very high hopes going in. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Not that it sounds right up there with the best or anything like that, because it doesn't and it isn't, but the average user shouldn't have any problem with the sound quality, possibly straight out of the box. The picture quality is equally as surprising. It's a 1080p TV, so don't expect mind blowing clarity, but for what it is and what it costs, it's really nice, and with all kinds of settings that I've never heard of. I actually did very little in the way of setting this thing up. I remember reading somewhere just a few days ago that Vizio TVs are factory preset to the taste of individual countries that they ship them to, and after reading that, it finally made sense to me why there was very little adjustment necessary. LOL I think I spent more time getting it out of the box than I did making adjustments. Setup was a breeze. It found my Wi-Fi immediately, I put my password in to get it connected, and inside of a few seconds, it was ready to go... or so I thought! Naturally, the first thing it wanted to do was install a bunch of updates. Doesn't everything anymore!? After downloading, installing, restarting, installing, restarting, installing, restarting, I was finally ready to do a channel scan. Yeah, I got cable TV out of my life over 20 years ago, and I haven't missed it one bit. The scan took three to four minutes and brought up like 48 channels. I'm still working on this input called Watch Free, and as near as I can tell, it's kind of a mix with your station presets and other select material probably based on those stations. In the 3+ weeks since delivery, I haven't experienced one flaw, lockup, random restart, random power down, glitch or hiccup out of it.There are a few little things about it that I'm not too thrilled about, namely the complete lack of RCA inputs, only two HDMI inputs, and when inputting channels on OTA TV using the number pad, it brings up an on-screen numberpad, but instead of intuitively hitting the center button, you have to use the arrow down to navigate to an area on the on-screen keypad, and when you get to the correct tab, THEN hit the center button. Next, arguably the most used controls on the remote, the channel and volume keys... Why do they all now place those keys so low on the remote? Those keys are way down near the bottom to the point that you don't really have any room to hold onto the remote. The remote is also narrow, thin, short, and VERY slippery.Overall, I really like it, but a universal remote is probably in my near future. As the title says, keep your expectations reasonable, and you shouldn't be disappointed. If you want a TV that performs like an 85" $1000+ set, then go spend $1000 on an 85" set, and you'll be just fine. As far as its current price tag of $138 is concerned, you're getting a LOT of TV for your money.

Great TV and an awesome price

This one TV is a vast improvement over the last one I had. This Visio has a Vizio smart TV interface, which is much more practical and less proprietary than having just the Fire TV plus it doesn’t bring up all the smut that is in the free ever app. Mirrors my phone perfectly for watching apps that aren’t on the TV on the TV basically. Highly recommend has a beautiful picture in great sound. No glare screen is even better a good upgrade from the insignia.

32in Vizio Smart TV

Great size for bedroom. SmartCast (Vizio app) is built into the TV and works great. I also have Dishnetwork input to the TV via one of the HDMI ports. Great picture but sound could be better. I'll probably install a small soundbar to improve the sound quality.

There is a set-up fee after purchase of $60.oo

This LED TV is amazing for the price. Easy to setup @$60.oo for five years and gets many channels. I wasn't aware of a setup purchase, I just use it for personal viewing of photographs of my Painting with Roku screen mirroring for my Art clients. Great product. Would purchase again.

Great TV.

Very nice picture. TV is super light weight. Attached perfectly to a universal wall mount. My only complaint is that roku dose not support the direct TV app. Had to get an Amazon firestick to access direct TV stream. If u use direct TV, get a different brand. If not, it's a great TV for tge price
