Whisper quiet. Excellent design.
Calm design 100 with humidity sensor and timer. My criteria was low dB..no branding on front cover.Humidity sensor and timer over run. This fan is excellent in every way.Switched live, permanent live and neutral electrical provision required. Earth not required as fan is double insulated.Fitted easily into existing 100mm hole.4 screws, 3 wires. The fan is very quiet, clean lines with no ' shouty' branding. I'm really pleased with it.A discrete led to indicate fan operation is a perfect addition.Durability obviously to be established but with a 5 year warranty im really not concerned. Would buy again.

Performs as expected - Instructions could be clearer for controls.
Mechanically easy to fit. I installed the 240V unit with humidistat in an external wall, replacing an Xpelair units that had failed after 12 years. . Electrically there are 3 connections L (live), L1 (switched input) and N (Neutral). There are two control options (you can have both). First is using the humidistat which switches the fan on between a selectable 60% & 90% RH and uses that timer for run on, once humidity is below the set point. The second requires L1, the switched input. You can run an input from a light (going on) or a switch (connect L to L1 through the switch) so that the fans stays on when L1 is live (e.g you switch the bathroom lights on) and runs on the timer after L1 switches off. Mine performed as expected. A level of understanding of installing mains electrical equipment is required.

Smart looking, quiet fan.
Great fan. We have installed in our kitchen to kick in when cooking pasta etc. Seems to help the humidity, nice and quiet and love that it only comes on when needed. Fairly easy to install and easy to adjust settings. looks very neat and love that there are no big brand logos or writing. Would recommend.

Awful customer service
Product was easy enough to install and worked fine for a little while. Noticed that the humidity sensor was very sensible and difficult to set, making the fan staying on for to long or not switching on when needed. Could live with that as the timer was working fine and deactivated the humidity sensor. 9 months after purchase the fan died completely. Tested and power supply is all good up to the motor, so obviously the motor had failed. Sent a request through Amazon to Blauberg customer service and they replied to use the service through Amazon. Done it again and same answer. Two days gone by then with no fan in my bathroom. I’ve explained that I was doing the process through Amazon as requested and that it was taking me to their website where I was filling an online form and the reply (2 days later and a second email) was that everybody in customer service was off sick and nobody could help at that moment. Patiently waited for 3 more days waiting for someone to actually get back to me with a solution and when they finally contacted me they asked to ship the unit in original box and with the manual included. I’ve said to them that unfortunately I didn’t keep the box as I don’t have much storage and that I lost the manual since I fitted the fan. So they are not going to do any warranty because of this. I found ridiculous that an invoice for the purchase is not enough for a big company to process warranty on something they sell, on top of the fact that I have waited now almost 2 weeks having no extractor in my bathroom.I will never buy any Blauberg product again in my life.

Great looking fan, very quiet pity about flimsy shutter
Works great in my large bathroom. Looks sleek but the backdraft shutter is so flimsy the fitter ripped it off thinking it was part of the packaging. I fitted a backdraft shutter to the pipe, the one fitted to the fan will do the job, but it is so thing you won’t know what it is and just need to Jane sure you don’t rip it off

Second time lucky? Sort of
This is a replacement item, the first one stopped working after 1 month (which Amazon replaced with no hassle) its very quiet and easy to fit and was great when working, let's hope this one lasts longer .. edit, it's now 5 months later and now the bathroom has higher levels of steam as its winter there is water getting into the fan electrics and was shorting out. Needs to be in a larger room size, wall mounted or have a non open shower

I'm a fan
Our ensuite bathroom was always damp and getting mouldy. No-one wants a fan in their bedroom that stays on for 25 minutes if someone pops in for a wee or to do their teeth, but you do want it to stay on after a shower, when the room is damp. This is the answer. You can set the timer to a couple of minutes so mostly the fan clicks off after use, but if your teenager has had a long hot shower and condensation is dripping off the walls, the fan will stay on until the room is reasonably dry, which may be several hours.Unlike a previous fan I tried, this one is a little louder but it does seem to move a fair amount of air, which many of the cheaper ones don't.USEFUL FACT: This isn't explained well in the instructions but the humidity sensor works in reverse, so the higher you turn it, the less sensitive it is.At the lowest setting the amount of moisture in the air required to trigger the fan is roughly the level in the air in the UK on a wet winters day, so your fan will stay on continuously. Turn it up, and it needs a higher level of moisture so the fan turns off, unless the room is particularly damp. It's totally counterintuitive.
