Musical at its best!
There is nothing like Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison in this classic, classy production. Grand and beautiful.

Magnificent Restoration of a Classic
My Fair Lady is just delightful. It was shot in 70mm and this restoration is one of the best I've ever seen. The color is so beautiful and rich. Just fantastic. The sound is also excellent. Highly recommend. Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison are perfectly cast! Just a lovely film to enjoy.

I will love this movie forever more.
I first got introduced to this movie during high school. For a week, it played in my English class. I was hooked. But the last day it was to play I was out sick. I simply HAD to know what happened, so I picked it up on VHS. (Remember those?) I loved the movie so much that I actually wore out my VHS tapes. The wheel squealed loudly and the picture was a bit choppy.Recently I thought that I would go on Amazon Prime, buy the movie and be able to stream whenever I wanted. However, this movie is not available for streaming ANYWHERE that I looked. When I learned that the 50th Anniversary edition was out on Blu Ray, I almost ran to Amazon to get my copy. Until I can get it streaming somewhere, this is the next best thing. It was thanks to that English teacher, hooking me on this movie, that made me begin watching other older movies (such as Singing In the Rain.) If only I could recall that teacher's name, I would look her up and send her a big thank you letter!

Great Movie!!!
I first saw "My Fair Lady" in July of 1969 at a theater in Budapest, Hungary. The film was in English with Hungarian subtitles. I enjoyed it then and I am now able to watch this great film when ever I want.

Beautiful restoration of a classic, may need audio lip-sync adjustments to enjoy it.
In the last few decades, if you've longed to see My Fair Lady to see what Lerner and Lowe did with George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalian, you've been out of luck. While this movie was frequently shown in TV specials 20 or 30 years ago, its distribution was limited by the copyright holders to poor quality NTSC VCR and DVD copies, many of which were either panned and zoomed for 4:3 TV screens or worse. My wife commented that she had never seen the movie without the people in it being squeezed horizontally, indicating that many TV stations just didn't care about the viewing experience. Worse, to my knowledge, My Fair Lady has never been made legally available for high-definition streaming on any Internet video service. This 50th anniversary Blu-ray restoration makes you understand why this movie is a classic. The colorful sets, the amazing costumes, and the chemistry among the principal actors make this disc worth owning. Given how limited the distribution of My Fair Lady has been in digital form, it's likely no one has seen this movie in such high-resolution and color-rich quality since its theatrical release more than 50 years ago. Rex Harrison has never looked better. The one downside to this disc though is that it has been encoded with the latest audio and video technologies, which requires varying amounts of work on behalf of your TV audio and video processors. For my home theater system (Sony PS4 playing the Blu-ray connected to a Sony STR-1060 receiver feeding a recent LG OLED monitor), this resulted in the audio playing ahead of the video by almost 1/10th of a second. If you are intensely watching Audrey Hepburn slowly learning how to speak the Queen's English, it can be very distracting to hear "The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain" before her lips actuallys show it. And while there are some scenes where you can simply chalk this up to bad actor lip-syncing (both Audrey Hepburn's and her father's songs were dubbed, in Hepburn's case by the famous Marnie Nixon), I finally concluded that this was a technical issue, not an artistic one. This problem is resolvable however on most systems. On my system, it was located in the Sony STR-1060 audio menu under the menu item "A/V Sync". By raising the A/V sync level from 0 to 70ms, the audio came right into sync with the video again. In some systems you'll find this menu item on the blu-ray player or on your sound bar instead, and sometimes you'll see the menu tagged as "Lip Sync" or "Audio Sync" instead.Should your system not have one of those audio delay settings, you still may be able to solve the syncing problem by speeding up your video processing of the HDMI signal. Many modern TVs have a "Game" setting which drastically speeds up the video processing in exchange for a somewhat more raw video display (this is to avoid video game lag which can be fatal to your gaming character). Try that as a last resort to get the audio and video to sync up as one.Once we solved the audio syncing issue, my wife and I very much enjoyed seeing this classic again in the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Should you encounter the same issue, try adjusting your audio delay before thinking you need to return the disc.

Blu-ray quality is superb - highly recommended
I just received this My Fair Lady BR version of Oct 27, 2015. Superb quality. This is an example how BR transfer should be done. I had multiple versions of this movie, and I am not talking about content. I will enjoy it in whatever format. However, with this picture and sound quality, you will feel like you're actually present right there in the room. Thank you Paramount for such a marvellous job! If you own a DVD, do not hesitate to upgrade to this version. Highly recommended!

Interesting Restoration
It's pretty much the same movie I remember from before it got so old, but it looks better. A better restoration might have addressed the casual misogyny and classism, but that would probably be hard because they'd need to reshoot a bunch of things and, as mentioned, this movie is pretty old. I still like it though. Good songs, funny voices.

Very entertaining movie
Bought this for my wife because she swore it was a great movie and she was right (of course but don’t tell her I admitted that)
