High Quality & Easy to Assemble. You won't be disappointed!
It's a hit or miss sometimes when ordering furniture online, because much of your satisfaction with the product is going to be based on your personal experience with it, not technical specs. I was confident after doing a ton of research online both via reading reviews for this chair on Amazon, as well as watching video reviews on Youtube, and ultimately decided that this was the best office chair in this price range for me to invest in.Is it worth it to buy a new chair if your current chair still works? I had doubted the value of this investment as well for this very reason. However, I can now say with confidence that it was one of the best investments for my workspace, and that I should have purchased a new chair much sooner. It only took me 20 minutes to put this thing together, and it is SOLID.My favorite features:SEAT CUSHION - This new chair has a very supportive and comfortable seat cushion, which fixed the pain I was developing in my lower back and coccyx from my previous chair and its flatter, older seat.BACK SUPPORT - The built in lumbar support is making a huge difference in my posture, which goes on to affect my shoulders as well. It is often overlooked in office chairs, but trust me, it will save your back especially if you are at the desk for extended hours.NECK REST - I've seen a lot of people say that the neck rest in office chairs are not really comfortable or useful, but that is not the case with this chair. This chair offers an adjustable neck rest that is breathable and very nice to lay on, encouraging comfortable breaks throughout your work sessions.LEANING - With an adjustable tension for leaning back, this chair has been great to take breaks on between focused work sessions, or when you want to just sit back and watch a movie on your computer. I tend to keep the function locked when I am working so that I am always sitting upright without a tendency to slouch or lean back.ADJUSTABLE ARMRESTS - Understated feature in office chairs. Depending on what you are doing on your computer and how you are sitting, you will find that the adjustable height and positions of the arm rests give you so much more support you didn't think you need. Getting your arms supported properly throughout your work is going to make a huge difference on whether you will develop tight shoulders and neck. Conclusion: My hip, back, and neck tightness have all gone away since using this chair. I was a skeptic about whether it would actually contribute to alleviating all these issues, or whether I was just at my desk for too long, but it turns out this chair has saved my back and enabled me to work longer, more productive hours at my desk. If you are in the market for a new chair within this price range, this is it. Buy it, spend the 15-20mins putting it together, and you'll never look back. Totally worth it.

Comfortable, ergonomic office chair with easy assembly, great value.
For reference I weigh 240 pounds and am 5 foot 6 inches. The COLAMY Ergo Mech Office Chair genuinely surprised me. For years I have bought cheap $60 office chairs and used them until failure. I would often have a sore back and rear after prolonged sitting sessions. So wanting to invest in a better and healthier chair lead me to copious articles, videos, and browsing various boards looking for the best chairs for various price ranges. What I found in my research was an overwhelming recurrence of this COLAMY office chair on most lists. When comparing the features of this chair to chairs of the same, and even higher, price range(s) I found that you only miss out on one or two features you find in only the highest priced office chairs. The assembly was without question the smoothest I have every encountered. This is an important part of the user experience for me, and I feel for most others as well. Everything was packaged extremely well, and nothing was difficult to unpack. The assembly was really only 6 steps, and they are clearly explained in the instruction booklet. The only mistake I made during assembly was not reading the instructions that the arm rests are labeled and need to be put on the corresponding side. Even with that mistake it only took me ten minutes to unpack, assemble, fix my mistake, and get to sit in my chair. Another often over looked user experience aspect that COLAMY nails is the infamous chain bag of screws and tools. The allen tool included has a BUILT IN HANDLE! I cannot under-state how impactful this is in making the entire experience not aggravating, I wish more companies followed this example. Additionally each mini bag of bolts was labeled with a little card inside stating which step it was for which just made me smile. It truly feels like it was a team of people's job to ensure the assembly prosses went as smoothly as possible.Onto the actual experience of operating the chair. The included booklet details what every knob, lever, and other means of adjustments do. The ability to truly customize the chair to fit the ergonomics of your body is what separates COLAMY from lesser "ergo" chairs below, in, and above its price range of ~$300.Without question my favorite feature is the reclining stability. I intentionally jerked myself back in the reclined position to see how easy it was to tip over and I was not able to without pushing quite hard off the ground. This is such a relief, not having that feeling when you start to tip your chair because you are relaxing watching a show or movie while reclined and happen to push back to far. Another smaller but still important related feature is the way the recline action is engineered you're feet remain on the ground even when fully reclined! This helps to ensure proper circulation to your legs and feet, no more pins and needles!I will whole heartedly encourage anyone to invest in this chair if they want an office chair that supports their body, feels and looks incredibly sturdy, punches well above its weight class when it comes to sheer features for the price, and the knowledge that you won't need to buy a new chair for a very very long time.

Hard to assemble. Not terrible, probably worth the money.
I have had this chair about a week now and I have mixed reviews. The basics of the chair seem to be solidly built. I like the controls for moving the seat back and forth. I also like the separate lever for locking the back. The chair is mostly comfortable for me and I am 6ft tall and 270lbs. But the seat cushion is a bit firm and somewhat strangely shaped, so it feels a bit like I am sitting on a very firm ball. This does feel uncomfortable after a while, so it forces me to get up. That is not a bad thing I suppose, and I hope the firmness will get better after a while.I took off a star for a few reasons. 1) The chair is difficult to assemble. The instructions are not great and there are many heavy pieces. I was able to do it, but I have an engineering degree. I would expect mere mortals will have greater difficulty. 2) The armrests are wonderfully adjustable, but they stay in place with springs and friction and I think they are somewhat flimsy. They do move around a bit and I expect these mechanisms will not last. 3) The recline has distinct stops and they are pretty far apart. So if I want to recline, I am either too far back or too far front. Not using the stop is really not possible because the tension cannot be made tight enough to hold me up.Yes this chair is under warranty, but the only way to return it is to take it all apart and get it back into the box. Nearly impossible, so you should buy it knowing that its unlikely you will be able to return it.So not terrible, but don't expect this to be a replacement for a much more expensive chair.
