Maidenform womens Seamless Shapewear, Tummy Control Thigh Shaper Shorts, Mid-waist Thigh Slimmer With Firm Control

Just received this item and I have already ordered another one in a different color. I love that it has firm control, but it is the first one that actually was easy to pull up. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and I have limitations, which makes it very difficult to use very tight foundation.

This review is for the Maidenform womens Seamless Shapewear, Tummy Control Thigh Shaper Shorts, Mid-waist Thigh Slimmer With Firm Control (XX-Large, Evening Blush).It’s “firm control” is indicated to be level 2 out of 3. I found the compression to be minimal and would describe it as a level 1. They are very comfortable, prevent thigh chafing, and smooth out the hips and backside under a thin dress. There wasn’t much of a butt lift but it certainly didn’t minimize the backside. It didn’t hold in my tummy- I noticed no difference with or without the shapewear. It was very easy to breathe in and was exceptionally comfortable. Overall I found it to provide smoothing only. The size chart goes off of dress size and hip measurements. Based on that I ordered a 2x which is the size that I would have expected to order. I don’t think that a size smaller would have provided much more smoothing since the fabric is lightweight. I’d also worry about rolling if I sized down.Overall I like this quite a bit for a smooth and comfortable layer under dresses.

This is really nice shapewear - I don't have any complaints. I've bought Maidenform garments in the past and am a fan of the brand.I don't wear shapewear often, so unfortunately I can't compare it to others in the category or judge the compression level like other reviewers, but I will say it fits comfortably and isn't too tight. It stays rolled down pretty well, unlike some yoga shorts I've had in the past... And I do like how they look, too - they're very flattering. Overall they function quite well.

I have been a fan of this shapeware brand for years. I have never been disappointed with the quality and these are no exception. This mid-waist slimmer has just the right amount of "control" for me, which means it is not tight and binding but there is just enough compression to remind me to hold that tummy in when someone's taking a picture. L O L I will generally wear something like this more as a smoother than a shaper because I like to be comfortable. The length of the legs on these will be nice because I can wear them under dresses this summer. I have thighs that are somewhat heavy for my height and frame, so I probably won't use them as a leg shaper because someone would be able to see the bulge of where it stops if I was wearing pants. But that band is not overly constructing and it's going to just help these stay in place. I'm pleased with the amount of stretch on these. They go on so easily!As a person who is 5 foot five and carries more weight through hips and thighs, I bought the medium size because it matched my measurements. It works well for me but I might invest in a size large as well, if I want to use them as shorts under clothes and not feel them at all. My waist is considered "short" and these come up just above it but I did not notice them rolling down after wearing it for an hour. These are nice Maidenform quality. The price is slightly high here but I know from experience that this brand lasts for years.

I have purchased Maidenform in the past (I like their front opening bras). I had no issue with the quality of this. The fabric was smooth and elastic. I would say there isn't a ton of compression - if you have something you want to squeeze more, this isn't it. It smooths a little, but because of the lack of true compression, it doesn't smooth a ton. I guess there was a compromise between comfort and true shaping/compression. Overall it is comfortable, but not what I was looking for in shapewear.

Bummed because these roll up at the bottom therefore defeating the purpose of them. They fit fine so it’s not like they’re too small or too big. They would actually be very comfortable if only they didn’t roll up and cause chafing!

I have tried many of these shaper shorts to find ones that are just the right compression without the dreaded roll down or squeezing my waist to tightly that it puckers under my dresses. The material on these is great compared to some of the non-brand items I've tried. I mostly wear these under dresses and skirts so I don't have to worry about a random wind or walking up the stairs. These are perfect for that. The compression is good but not too tight. The shaping of the rear is a nice touch and if you are planning to wear these under pants will help. I think these are a great value for a brand item and worth the investment. The stretch is good, the material is not too heavy, and it is very smooth.

I don't expect a miracle from most shapewear as there is a tradeoff (usually) between comfort and performance. These are great for light smoothing or if you want shorts under a skirt/dress to prevent chafing or it's a windy day. They are soft and comfortable but not the firm performance you would expect.I generally size up at least one size in shapewear and that was fine here. Your normal size may provide *slightly* more control but it won't work miracles. Still a good, quality piece of shapewear.
